dunno i never done it (hate millstone). that photos of planetfeer innit  -good shot mind.

i know a few people who've tried it and despite being more than able to do steady E3 have failed on the initial "E1" crack!

I'll take that as a reason not to even try it then!

Just looked at that gallery, some pretty nice pics, like the ones in the desserts.

I quite like millstone, apart from the loose top, probably because the protection's bomber nuts.  Soon as the weather gets good again, i'm popping down to do Embankment 2, and a few of the 3 star HVS that didn't get done last time I was there.

Nice pic.  Is that time for tea at Millstone?  How sketchy are the moves from the top of the crack to the top?

Steady for the grade as I remember (though it's a while since I did it). Good gear at the top of the crack then balancy moves left and up. Give it a go and if you get to the top of the crack and don't feel up to it then just step right into Embankment 4. Finishing up that is a very good pitch.

Not too bad actually, there was a good rp at the very top of the crack which made it feel very secure. Unfortunately a little accident i had falling off tea for two a few years ago from the very top(I came very close to the floor if your wondering!) put the final nail in the coffin and its now very flared! The goodish crimps to rock over for top ledge prob crux

it struck me that the depth of field looked a but weird. probably cos that elephant thing behind the climber seems to stand out for some reason.

not that theres owt wrong with digital manipulation, just summert struck me as strange.

Could be, it's hard to tell - I think the big rock in the background looks clearer because of the large, even areas of limestone which will always look clearer than a bunch of trees.

I agree that depth of field manipulation is perfectly acceptable though, and Photohop CS makes it even easier, which is nice.

Yeah, pretty sure it's Railay beach at Krabi.

If it was me I'd go to Thailand/Malaysia over Singapore. Singapore is meant to be very nice but seems a bit oppressive. Anywhere that bans chewing gum is a bit odd to me...

Laos / Vietnam are meant to be lovely, and I'd love to visit Ankor Wat in Cambodia too. Nice part of the world.

Some good recommendations there Bubba, the only thing you may need to watch out for is the weather at that time of year. I always thought it was rainy season during our summer.

Yeah I have narrowed it down to Thailand or Malaysia .. oooh seriously can't decide which one.

Currently Thailand seem to be favourite as it seem to be interesting place to go as there is lots of sightseeking and scenery !!

Probably the best time to go is November/December coz it's after the rainy season, but not yet too hot. Only problem is that is when everyone else goes too.

Still hot as a bastard though.

Yeah only problem is meeting my mate there after not seeing her for about a year (she is currently travelling around the world) so she will be around that area this summer.
