Saw that a few months ago...along with another photo or two...looks bloody amazing, probably the first time I've had a real proper "must do" inspiration outside this country...

But effort for managing to find a bit of rock amongst all the snow anyway.

Mmm, sorry about the trousers. :shock:

Doxey's Pool was frozen over and I tried to walk across it, got half way and.. well you guessed it I went through. I was gratefull for any trousers at all, it was chuffing freezing and we still hadn't done a single problem/route!

By the way where did you find the photo?

We were quite lucky, the top two holds needed cleaning but other than that it was okay. Climbing through the icecles at the bottom of the slab were fun.

cheap, yes
fisheye, no.

its this kodak wide thingy, 0.6X, so its like having a 21mm wide lens or summert. get freaky distortion and shit round the edges, but i ain't used it much yet.

ok - so its not a quality pick - but the guy belaying (Jerome someone or other) had just flashed my project (the climb in the photo) to give HK its hardest climb at F8b. pretty inspiring stuff to watch

Guess thats what happens when a team of French punters invade for a week or two
