Hey Bonjoy. That last pic off Si's website is the awesome looking Red Sail wall at The Grampians, that I'll be having a bit of myself. I can just see Niners and Westie there now posing like good un's (from a different angle of course) bedecked in Prana. Can't wait.

Surely you mean that the boys are joining me - Hanger's on hey

I do wonder what the Aussies will make of Prince Harry and his undercover entourage

Not sure where else yet but deffo the Gramps and Arapiles 'cause they ain't a million miles from Melbourne. You got any other suggestions?

I pretty much stuck to the Gramps and Arapiles as they seemed the best use of limited time. I did spend a fair bit of time bouldering around Sydney, but I'm not sure it's worth making the big drive for unless you fancy visiting Sydney anyway.
I reckon you should get a flight over to Christchurch and check out Castle Hill whilst in the southern hemisphere. Again awesome climbing and stupidly photogenic.

Cheers Geez. Would love to go to Castle but I'm not sure the youths will be up for it or can afford it - depends on prices of flights, hire car, etc to get there.

I wish i had spent more time in the Gramps in hindsight. The stuff we did there was so fine. Have a look at doing the combination of Sluicepipe? (bolted 18) up a long runnel in a slab and Navarre, a natural 17 on the wall to the left of Taipan. Two contrasting and superb pitches. If you are into doing routes of course. If you are just bouldering Grampians looks miles bettr than Arapiles.

Me at Reiff on a midsummer's eve. If you listen carefully you can hear the midges.

Does Reiff live up to it's hype?

What's the bouldering like?

I thought it was a great spot, but not really sea cliff climbing. Theres fantastic routes of all types across the full range of grades, all on good quality rock. More like a gritstone crag by the sea, than the seacliffs you get in the Wales/The South and SW.

Seems like good potential for bouldering, although it needs a bit of finding. We didn't have pads, that would be useful for wet/slippery landings. Hopefully heading back there later in the year.
