Just checked the fantasy football league and got to give a  :clap2: to Matlock FC. Leading the league and in 11,000 overall position!

Till they host City in a fortnight?  Or go to Stamford Bridge two weeks after that? I don’t think he will be there that long.

The Amazon Prime Premier League matches for this winter start tomorrow night (with the intriguing Newcastle v Norwich ) - if you start a 30-day free trial tomorrow you can watch all but the two on December 30th.

Amazing end to the premier league. I was watching the City match, and once Villa got their second, I though that’s it. I switched over to watch the Liverpool match, and City started banging them in! I flicked back over after City got their third, and Liverpool started scoring goals! Crazy stuff. And Burnley gone too, amazing scenes for Leeds.

I did not have a good feeling about this afternoon’s playoff final but I didn’t expect it to go as badly as I did  :'(.

Although there’s not much between us (just one point in the regular season, we beat a higher finishing team than them in both legs of our semi) Port Vale started the match like a club who’ve spent most of their history in the third tier or higher and were ready to take their rightful place back there while we started like a club who’ve rarely been higher than the fourth tier and haven’t seen an occasion like this since 1987… two goals down in 25 minutes, (justly) down to 10 men after 30 so while we recovered and had the upper hand for most of the second half, we didn’t have the numbers to get back in it. A guy who played for us for five years got their third goal late on.

Not regretting deciding against going down to Wembley on my own now at least!

Brilliant win for England’s Lionesses tonight. Thoroughly deserved. Germany really made them fight, especially 2nd half. Thought they’d be too strong in extra time but fantastic come back from England. Absolutely delighted for them. Hope this is a massive boost to the woman’s game in the UK.  :2thumbsup:

That was fucking great. Top quality game management/shithousery at the end too, as good as it gets.

The cost of living crisis and the £3 tickets to see Bradford City available from my kid's school have conspired to make me attend my first football match tomorrow.

I've never been before but need to try and fit in. Can anyone offer tips/a crash course in spectating a live football match? What are the good chants to use against Mansfield Town? What songs do Bradford City fans sing? When is the appropriate time to hurl vile xenophobic abuse at the opposition? What full-time score is an appropriate excuse to rip the stands apart?

Wear a team shirt rather than expensive labelled designer mens wear. One means your a fan the other would suggest your up for rumble.
After I typed that I’m wondering why I needed to bother. Will and designer clothing has that ever been in the same sentence.
I took my daughter to see Hull city when she was about 8 fortunately they scored in the first 5 minutes which raised the excitement it ended up 3-2 to city. A 0-0 draw might have been a bit crap.
It cost me a fortune in drinks, snacks and we came home with a Hull city foam finger which never saw a match again.

Sounds very much like you’ll be in a Family Stand where no one sings Will so I shouldn’t worry about any of this. No-one’s Going to be ripping any stands apart at the end of a mid-season League Two tie. A glance at the table should (OK, might) tell you that this is the most interesting fixture in the division this weekend though. It’s a six-pointer in the playoff race.

Wad point on the way if you can post video evidence of yourself trying to start a chant.  ;D

Be the change you want to see. Dress in head to toe stone island, smuggle a pyro in with your kids, snort a load of coke, and hurl relentless abuse at your own players after they concede twice in the opening 10 mins. Double points for waking up in a cell.

Enjoy! :)

The language is similar to English so you should be fine, just replace all usage of ‘were’ with ‘was’.

As we approached the stadium a series of police motorbikes started to come past. I joked to my wife that it was the away fans being escorted in so they couldn't cause trouble. This turned out to be correct and, as the coaches drove past, the inebriated thugs within beat themselves against the windows like a horde of zombies. Then we walked past the temporary police cells where troublemakers would be incarcerated.

So far my expectations were met.

When one of the opposition suffered a suspected dislocation/broken collar bone we cheered.

Goal in the first half. Goalless second half but for an equaliser at the final whistle then 7 mins of extra time. It was decent for £3 a head.
