ooooooo.... yellow... or is it lemon..?   ;)

It's certainly a lemon.  Probably some marketing idiot who thinks the girls will buy it, puts it up there with Liverpool's beige kit that was  introduced because it looked good with jeans.  Surely the worst kit ever, though I expect some 90s monstrosities would be contenders.  The full horror

Oof, I stand corrected

I had the U21 match on for a while but it was pretty grim.  Looks like we could end up with the same scenario as last time now playing the hosts in the semi.

Surprised there's been no more interest in Frazier Campbell, I'd certainly prefer him to this Benitez fella who probably won't settle or get the pace of the Premiership.  We don't have a good record with South American signings.

There was talk of us going for Michael Owen too, but he didn't exactly bust a gut in the relegaton battle last season so I'm not sure he's right for either of us.  Can't see him being very interested once England have qualified for SA unless he's getting involved.  Any horse racing near Hull?

Quality  :)
"On completion of the limb and organ harvesting, Owen will be refitted with reconditioned player parts from the Hull squad. A club spokesman said he would eventually look like a 'clean-cut, twinkle-eyed bag of offal'"

Daily mash also reported on Ronaldo's jaunt to the states.  NSFW, as the title suggests.

That was a pretty good Ronaldo report by the Daily Mash but it will always be overshadowed by this which is quite possibly my favourite Daily Mash of all time.

Well he did go to Newcastle, which is only slightly more glamorous than Hull.

And yes I know what a shit hole Sunderland is.

Yup - a surprisingly good game. The USA scorer looks like a tasty player... is he at Villareal?

In the absence of footy I found the 20-20 totallly compelling and now find myself able to converse freely on the mauling ability of huge Boer farmers and tennis players I'd never heard of until yesterday.  I fucking love sport!

Cricket is NOT an alternative to footie, its complimentary to footie. It's a summer/winter ying/yang thing.

Ps I agree sport is fucking mint  ;) (or whatever the young un's say these days)

You should go to a T20 game, best one is the Roses match, I used to go when I lived in Manc. They were always sold out and the banter was fantastic, cricket fans not being segregated helps. The one in 2007 was ace, all the Lancies singing 'Yorkshire's Under Water'. It was amazing how 15,000 people managed to get pissed so quickly and still no hassle.

I went to a couple of days of the T20 WC down at Trent Bridge. No ENG games but great banter, especially watching Sri Lanka beat the Convicts, and the Ireland v Inda game was brilliant, the Indian fans were awesome, I was proudly supporting Irelandia that day.

Ps The Convicts are playing Sussex at the moment and are 349/7 after day one. Not too bad but Sussex are a mediocre 1st Division Team. and Punter was out for 8  ;D
