How long does secret garden take to dry? Similar to the burbages?

Bit longer I think. Takes some drainage / run off from above.

That's not to say it wouldn't be dry tomorrow. Someone more informed than me may know.

Tough one to call tomorrow. Imagine low cloud might rule out higher stuff?

At Curbar on Weds, everything south facing (or had caught some sun) was fairly dry. Everything else was condensed. really weird - climbing in a T shirt, midges out.

Ste Mac said pretty much the same for Plantation in Insta.

Looks from social media that stuff was climbed at Burbage today...

Nai said Church was spoogy but stuff was quite climbable today...

I went to the wall :(

Wednesday had a big temp rise and high humidity though so no surprise it was condensed. Different story tomorrow.

Anyway, Alsmcliff should be alright  :)

Looks OK tomorrow in the Peak if my reading of the various forecasts is correct...

Being a non-Peak resident I'd come to the same conclusion. Looks like rain passed over this morning but should be drying from early afternoon... Continuing to dry through the night and stay dry all day Saturday for most places.

Should be able to take your pick apart from places that are known for drying slowly, seeping a lot etc :fingers_crossed_emoji:

Very warm in Sheffield and apparently condensed at Malham. There's a temp drop tomorrow but still, I would pick places with lots of wind...

Living up to its name I would expect. You need a dry spell or hard freeze otherwise it has wet streaks.

Unfortunately with wind coming from SW places in the wind will be out of the morning sun

So can I expect Burbage West to be a) fucked, b) mint or c) somewhere inbetween? It will presumably be out of the wind as normal but probably dry as it will be catching the sun?

I'd imagine it'll still get enough breeze to be decent. The wind looks very strong.

Have an opportunity for a weekend Friday & Sunday on the grit as visiting family hence the Saturday is a no go.

Should I give up all hope now or is there any possibility?

Some local information would be greatly received as its a long way from Cornwall!  :please:

I see we are due a visit by Storm Dennis at the weekend does that put a end to all hope, is there much snow up there at the mo?

Thanks all in advance!

Macca

South of Bakewell and in the wind was mint this morning. Didn't try north of Bakewell as the roads are soaking.

Forecast is good tomorrow, iffy Thursday day and OK Friday but it's changing constantly. You might get lucky, you might not. I wouldn't hold out much hope for Sunday though!

Brief spell of heavy snow this AM, settling in Sheffield, a few pennine roads shut and expect the crags will take a while to dry.
