:) looking good but very breezy out there this morning! Sunday’s forecast has changed a bit since last night too!!

Went to shit at Gardoms very quickly. Frustrating in the extreme...

:( it’s warm out there!

Mint connies at Rivelin Quarries. And by which I mean it was almost actually dry despite constant drizzle blowing down the valley.

but I can think of one 4-5 day period of settled weather and the rest have been the odd day or two. 💩💩💩

That's normal isn't it, settled spells of making gravy and opportunistic days in bad periods that are fortunate to fall on your climbing days.  True, we haven't had a prolonged good spell as yet.
The biggest issue this autumn has been the lack of fall-back options with the perma-lime proving not to be.  Now that's dry again your opportunities to avoid wall visits may increase.

Sunny skies in Leicester. If it's sunny in the peak after the forecast yesterday I swear to god...

Ah man. Picked the wrong day. Never mind... :furious:  :wall:

On a separate note, which probably belongs in a separate thread, is there any weather forecasting service out there which simply tells you when it hasn't got a clue what's going to happen? Forecasting the peak in particular seems to be beyond the wit of man, and it's fundamentally fucking flat! All the forecasts I've used the last few weeks have been as accurate as a daily mail horoscope. *rant over

Went for a walk round Stanton. Everything was pretty much drenched from the overnight rain and the sun wasn't out long enough to put a dint in it.

Any thoughts on whether Low Rider will be dry tomorrow?

Not sure about Lowrider specifics compared to other stuff on the north end of Stanage, but heading over Stanage Causeway for a run in an hour or two. I’ll let you know how dry things look.

All looked fairly dry to me, although very few climbers. One guy sat under Cock o’ the Rock and that was about it. Reasonably strong westerly wind blowing onto the crag. More folk at Popular End, couple of people at Hampers Hang. Again, all looked dry there. Ran above Burbage North, so didn’t see how dry that was, but passed a couple of people with pads, so probably fine.

Mint today on burbage south edge, good breeze keeping everything dry. I reckon low rider will be good tomorrow.

Just putting this out there and not trying to be clever but unless you’re incredibly resilient I do not think Lowrider is a good mid winter problem. It’s about the most exposed place on the Eastern Edges. It’s also quite a lot of moves. The rock hardly gets sun. Much better when it’s a bit warmer in March/April. Or take a down suit.

Today at Curbar 💩

Stuff that had been in what watery sunlight there was - was dry. Anything else was gopping. Suspect bits of burbage will be dry but far from primo... zero wind. Even up on Curbar edge.

Frustrating that this high pressure now means double digit temps and high humidity.
