Contemplating heading out for an afternoon/early evening hit, how dry is it looking.

Driving from Nottingham, any one care to speculate if Bank Quarry and Jackson Tor are likely to be a: dry and b: worth it for a few hours, if not Birchen/Burbage N/Stanage far right were my other options.

Cold and misty with not much wind near The Foundry in S3. Roads are still slightly wet but not much

Up there with the most reliable bouldering in the southern peak. I remember one day last year where this and New Mills were the only places we could find from our keen mates where anyone got anything done outdoors on Peak grit .

Both were good and weather was fine enough to be down to t-shirts.  They could both do with a little more attention to help clean them up a little.

mostly fluffy white clouds, the odd grey one. Bright, cool, breezy, nothing much on the radar.  Looks pretty good.

Yes I'm aware of that wankline, I checked it on Ceefax. I'm wondering if the rock will be dry tomorrow after all the intermittent showers we've had in Manchester?

Its been grim last night and today, and the forecast for tomorrow is mist. Given that Leek is forecast to be sunny, I'm planning on heading to Staffs.

At Hobby moor with Grubes at the moment. It's serviceable but a bit humid and spotty rain. Better than plastic (just)

How did you do that Twat Beard?  Ceefax closed down in 2012. :tease:

Surely with your experience and a forecast you can work that out yourself just as Adam has?

Yes I probably could make that call but I come on here to get a 2nd opinion from people who know their shit. Surely that's the main point of this site??? 70% of the posts on here could be answered by Google but I'd rather talk to real people tbh. Not face to face though of course.

Thanks to all others who posted helpful advice, I'm heading to Staffs.

Seems like the mist is pretty dry, and the sun is breaking through here. Drove over the from Cheshire last night and the roads and walls were dry despite the clag just touching the tops. Wind has dropped too, could be a decent day anywhere I reckon, the mist might take the heat out of the sun.

Was planning an evening hit from Nottingham (Stoney/Burbage/Nudas/eatswood) weather forecast is less than promising.  Anyone in the Peak care to confirm that it is raining/wet/not worth it.  Web cams make it look more grey than actually wet.
Thanks!

Starting raining at 11:30 at Stanage Apparent North (light rain). Been raining lightly since in SW Sheffield. There is a strong breeze though so if it doesn't get any heavier and stops from time to time it will dry quickly.

I would imagine anywhere overhanging is still dry right now.

Think I will verge on optimism and the power of the slight overhang of minus ten/the eatswood roof

Warm at curbar, but acceptable conditions for early September.
