ok so crags facing the westerlies then..
Stanage, Bamford, Burbage North (south is usually minging), Froggatt, Curbar, Baslow, Gardoms (at a push, but often green and slimy) and Birchen.
None of these will be dry at the weekend. I'd probably have a look at stanage or curbar if you were desperate, but only because they're high up, exposed, and have easier walk ins. Or maybe Birchen coz theres a pub in the car park to drown your sorrows.

Excellent conditions yesterday at Burbage South in the a.m. This despite awful predictions from the weather reports. Good strong breeze with (very) intermittent sun. Warmed up towards the afternoon though. Getting there!

At bbg N - damp, wet streaks - some dry rock but not a great deal. Warm too. If you're not desperate to be on rock I'd go to the wall..

Not just now, but it might improve in the afternoon. The forecasts are rather variable.

As ever with showery days, you are best ignoring forecasts and concentrating on recently observed data, like raintoday.co.uk.
It doesn't look good, but you never know. Enough wind about to dry things given a break. Yorkshire looks better.

If the weather coming down in Stockport is anything to go by (which looking at raintoday is moving straight over the peak) stay indoors, its absolutely pissing it down here

Sadly with it being dark at 4/4:30 it gives precious little time to dry off..
I was hopeful of getting out this afternoon, but have decided to sack it off - work today and get out tomorrow instead...
Rubbish

Some news from Dave (via Twitter).
Looks like some ones motor (07 Golf) was stolen from Burbage Bridge car park (2-3pm today). Pretty f*cking blatant as there were loads of folk around today (I left about 2ish..)... Be careful with your car/belongings out there...

Just spoken to fat Ned - he reports a bit damp in BBg nth, and small bits of rain. Someone was on WSS when he walked out.
Here in Leeds the sun is out and although bits of wetness around, its fresh and breezy, so probably allright later on.

Were the forcasters on the crack pipe last night? I could have sworn the forcast for the peak last night and this a.m.was overcast for the p.m (wed) , and it was drizzle everywhere. Nicht so gut. Anyone with plans for tomorrow don't get out too early!
