Anybody reckon eatswood, specifically the traverse/westwood etc will be worth a punt tomorrow?  :-\

I'd say much of traverse should be ok but finishing holds (jugs) wet. Hard to say for sure though.

Anyone been up to Stanage, is it full of melt water? Wondering what the chances of it being dry tomorrow are...

Well it was raining/sleeting this morning, all the snow in Hathersage was melting though the day, and it was wet mist this evening. I don't fancy your chances.

Had a great day out at Stanage today. A few mates went out yesterday and built a flat snow platform beneath Big Air. It's now as safe as it will ever be. With six pads on top, the fall was tested many times. Lots of fun! (And it seemed to us that the standard rockover beta is whack). The platform should last for a day or two at least. Crescent Arete and Beneath the Breadline were both also cleaned off yesterday and climbed today. Careless Torque looked fine as well.

Outside right on the slopey foothold, right hand to pocket, then again to top. I did spend a couple of seconds trying to get my foot in the hole, but it seemed a bit fiddly. Other people got both pockets and stood up using the lower foothold. (To me this looked harder, but they insisted it was fine).

I do the same as you, just with the other foot. The go again to the top is a nice move.

There is a lot less snow further south - Curbar has a good bit less than Burbage, by the time you get to Moorside there's bugger all. It all needs a breeze to dry off though.

Just got back from burbage south and everything was pretty soaked, there were some nice little rivulets of water running all over the holds of davids traverse and the problem we did dry quickly got wet again from the mist.

Cratcliffe/ Robin Hood's was in lovely condition yesterday. No snow at all, almost completely dry.

Burbage was in generally good nick today, barring the occasional buried problem.
