Curbar gap carpark closed so I imagine the verges will be a bit busy later. There were only about 3 cars in total all the way down that road though by 8am.

Been on Mossatrocity Stand. No sends so far - a fridge too far. 5 degrees low humidity some sun. Crazy contorted trees by a boulder crammed river. Never been before. Left boys to it. Just taking a stroll up Padley Gorge for first time wondering why I’ve never been before.

Had a trip out.  Lots of cars on the verge at Fox House.  Millstone Car Park open and semi busy with cars.  Couple of climbers in Millstone on VS's

Was interesting to see chalk on Edge lane, green death and possibly scrittos, but by the looks, it might just have been someone abbing in and inspecting.

Seemed like all the usual parking spots had cars in them.

Be busy out there this weekend if the weathers anything like.

Had a brief look at Burbage this morning but it was fucked so went for a walk. Looks like sun came out later on, did anyone get some in? Particularly interested in cratcliffe area, is there any snow over that way or too low lying?

I’m confused about the weather forecast for the next few days which seems to be settling at being a faint breeze and high humidity and around 6 degrees. Will it be shit? Or does the colder air temp mean the high humidity doesn’t matter?

It was cold and humid in Lancs today. Wondered why conditions seemed poor on a blue sky day. Then realised when I packed up that all my stuff was covered in a sheen of moisture. Gah.

Cratcliffe was snow free when I drove past this afternoon but I guess soaking. Slushy snow on Stanton Moor in places and all wet, Stanton-In was soaking late afternoon, no wind.  Sun didnt really break through this far south. I guess tomorrow will depend on the cloud cover. I'm holding out a bit hope for a few dry holds by the afternoon.

Thanks BHB, that's what I had presumed. It's the lack of wind that concerns me, just can't see how it will dry remotely quickly, especially without sun as well. Maybe eatswood would be OK if it hasn't condensed? I find conditions there really hard but the last few times it seemed to have been blowing in which might have contributed to the damp under the roof.

Rman got to the show too late.. 😜 it was fine up to 3pm in/close to the sun..

That said there wasn’t that much dry around...

Rained last night in Sheffield. Road still wet and looks claggy out the window.

I’m at Stanage end. Drizzling. Virtually all the snow’s gone. Everything in sight (which is admittedly only a 15m radius) is saturated. Not regretting leaving my shoes and chalk at home.

Anywhere dry?

Might be later - but will need some sun. Little wind today....

Not today, but tomorrow? I feel like the weather is absolutely shafting us at the moment, not had a dry enough weekend in ages.

It's never a complete washout, but always dodgy enough to deter people who've got a long drive.

https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/forecast/gcqz4j0vf#?nearestTo=Calver%20(Derbyshire)&date=2020-12-20 deffo worth a look, only one band of showers today and lots of drying wind which has been missing from some of the previous washouts.

Might do, just don't want to risk wasting a day and half a tank of fuel. Tempted to go out with optimism, and hope that the perma dry stuff at Churnet isn't condensed as a back up.

I’d doubt if there were no dry rock... too much wind and showers too sparse.

Plenty of dry rock today. Seepage is weirdly localised to mini waterfalls which are blowing uphill. Wind is doing a great job drying stuff out as soon as it gets wet
