It looks fine from s17. There will be plenty to go at but agree with Tomtom, secret garden (if I’m thinking of beach ball and such) wouldn’t be the best bet as that vegetation above it will take ages to dry. I reckon.

No worries. Just trying to work out what I fancy trying instead. Might hit the Plantation as it's a week day so hopefully won't be rammed!

Plantation damp but with a breeze picking up. Is there anywhere quicker-drying than here?

Trackside boulder at Curbar is usually a safe bet.

Plantation is about as quick drying as it gets I'm afraid. Birchen is the only place that dries quicker. Some good problems there if you've not been before.

I wandered around Burbage, where everything I wanted to try was wet, then it started sleety hailing so I went home.

Ringinglow road totally clear today. Road from hathersage up past Scotsman’s Pack was blocked with a huge drift, just before Popular end parking. Shame there weren’t such good drifts on the edge. But the snow is nice and firm so good for levelling off things with rocky landings. Thanks to Graeme Hammond for the ‘fear and loathing’ platform. There looked to be a fair bit around Silk, and Daydreamer, Shirley’s etc. Nothing at Shine On area. Some dry rock, some run off.

Fear and Loathing landing still good today, and now landings under Pebbledash Arête on the pebble and Adults Only, courtesy of Graeme. I made a big landing under National Breakdown. all should be ok tomorrow but the snow is melting fast now
Still a lot of snow melt running down a lot of things but plenty dry, and good conditions this afternoon. Burbage North looked a bit drier on the whole, as I drove past earlier.

Haven't been out much for ages where's most likely to be dry this morning? Preferably limestone; but might go for some grit depending on where; anyone else out this morning?

Mostly dry at Burbage North. Switching between warm and chilly depending on whether the sun is poking out from behind the cloud.

apparent north was prime

that's where I ended up for the last hour of light

it was ace!

I must have done the lower traverse between hampers hang and the arete to the right about 20 times in different ways - the slopey rail was just so nice to hold onto

Any reports? Seen snow in some pics earlier in the week - clag in others. No wind today I guess so hard to predict. Hoping to get out tomorrow lunchtime... usual fast drying suspects, Curbar, BBg N etc...

Didn't get out today but Sheffield was in total clag. There was snow on Kinder earlier in the week but don't think it made it any lower down.

I've got tomorrow off work and planning to head out early doors. I'll either post up here or alternatively PM me your mobile number and I'll text you an update.

I ran up to Burbage North and over Oxstones from home yesterday. Clag was right down and there was a dusting of snow, lots of ice and standing water around. It’s going to take a while to dry things off and it’s not drying weather - virtually no breeze and the clag is still down, although visibility is marginally better today.

Weird weather forecast this weekend. 5/6 degrees but humidity in the 90’s. Can’t work out whether it will be velcro or crap.

Anyone have any luck today?
