Very little snow survived the day, only really lying up on Kinder. Lower and sunnier edges were dry by sunset.

Was out yesterday at Curbar with Dolly and Rob... stuff was taking ages to dry as no sun nor wind.. but suspect it'll be good for the weekend - especially if (as forecast) its overcast..

The rock was dry but just a lot of moisture in the air, I reckon the sun and blue sky this afternoon will have helped though. We need a bit of a breeze!

stanage looked like a fantasy art poster this afternoon, climbed just above the inversion in bright sun all afternoon, sublime  :)

I know it's not East, but Roaches was good all day today, got a bit warm for a couple of hours early afternoon but otherwise perfect. The morning fog stayed below in the valleys.

It was amazing. Some really good footage must have been taken today. I climbed in plantation in the pea soup (too time pressed to drive around looking for good conditions and was just pottering) then on the way back saw the most amazing blue sky inversion that I'd been missing out on. Had to laugh. Had a good time but that was something else today!

Everywhere on the Eastern edges was amazingly pretty today- brilliant mist/ trees/ light interaction at Gardom's then breathtaking inversion scenes all the way up to Stanage after. My mate had never seen an inversion before and was literally speechless as we came over Curbar gap.  ;D

I forgot to take my camera out with me... :slap:

roads are fine

rock mostly damp

conditions started poorly at Burb N and gradually deteriorated as bits of ice melted and condensation stuck it's oar in

Dead Tree Traverse and associated variations was the main highlight

that chalk on In Plain Sight isn't mine

even Remergence stuff was getting drips and condensation by the time we gave up

South facing stuff at plantation not too bad, drying through the day. It was raining a bit this afternoon though...

Bit marginal today at plantation, stuff in the sun and wind was drying but a lot of green and dampness elsewhere. Didn't stop some plonker sieging Brad pit though. Somewhere like Froggatt would probably be a good bet.

Anyone get out today? Weather looks similar for the next few days, trying to decide whether to come up from the west mids tomorrow until Tuesday.

Anyone know how Burbage area is doing this morning? Roads were damp in Sheffield this morning, but I am keen to get out.
