Bivy sites in font
May 11, 2009, 01:52:40 pm
I'm heading back to font for the May bank holiday week and all the campsites are full. Has anyone got any good bivy beta? I remember reading that some bivy sites had been closed by COSIROC (sp?) but can't seem to find anything relevant searching on here.

Cheers

You didn't search very hard now did you?

Half-way down the first page of the Abroad forum is this thread.

Are you really sure about that? If you list the ones that you have tried, maybe there are some that you have missed that people can advise on.

I didn't do the research myself, I'm going on advice from someone at TCA who tried to book a couple of weeks ago. They checked La Musadierre and another pay site whose name escapes me.

Thanks for the link and help so far

Another campsite you may or may not have tried is Les Courtilles do Lido .  The town of Moret-sur-Loing is beautiful, especially the fortifications/bridge, and the crepiere just on the left on the way into the old town is excellent.

Also http://www.tourist-office.org/tourisme/france/ile-de-France/Seine-et-Marne/mairie/samoreau.htm is nice, and good for northern areas. Just need to get through Font, but good access for drinking and eating in town.

Also

http://www.abccamping.com/barbeau.htm

But doesn't allow barbeques.
