Genius.
Tom Peckitt, a climber based in Leeds has climbed a new boulder problem at Almscliff in Yorkshire, which is a link up of two problems called The C&A Traverse and The Bulb, The new problem is called Bulbhaul and has been given a suggested grade of V14 / Font8b+ , this is certainly ground breaking stuff as there is not many problems on Gritstone to be graded V14. Most recently, a visiting climber climbed possibly the first ascent of the sit-start to the famous problem Brad Pit V9/V10 at Stanage, after pulling up into the starting position of the problem he then climbed the problem in the original style, first climbed by Myles Gibson, which didn't use the side-pull / gaston that the groove forms, and hit straight to the finishing hold from the starting holds, this is a very hard dyno method, this was regarded as V12/13, and this new repeat. that uses the original style, has been graded V14 / Font8b+. Although a huge reach and arm span is need to even attempt this new problem.
