no ball pool I'm afraid, I think the place is fully given over to abject lo-fi gluttony. I'll be taking porridge in the morning and going home to eat

I agree - does look a bit shit.
No doubt I'll be told I don't get it, but why would you ride on planks of wood in a field when you're about half a mile away from proper moorland ?

I agree on the planks, but hey go, drops of more than 30ft goin in
Looks a cracking after work play area, potentially

If they build more maybe, but it's only 100ft away from another area which I won't mentionwhich is a much steeper hillside. Don't wish to piss on anyone's bonfire but they will have to build some mahoosive stuff to make it worthwhile

i agree, and the building team are well aware... I know of them and have passed this one... at the least the NS has to be as big and flowing as Market razen... then everyone can watch me total myself close to home

Then the thrushes sang,
And shook my pulses and the elms' new leaves...
I flattered all the beauteous country round,
As poets use; the skies, the clouds, the fields,
The happy violets hiding from the roads
The primroses run down to, carrying gold, -
The tangled hedgerows, where the cows push out
Impatient horns and tolerant churning mouths
'Twixt dripping ash-boughs, - hedgerows all alive
With birds and gnats and large white butterflies
Which look as if the May-flower had caught life
And palpitated forth upon the wind, -
Hills, vales, woods, netted in a silver mist,
Farm, granges, doubled up among the hills,
And cattle grazing in the watered vales,
And cottage-chimneys smoking from the woods,
And cottage-gardens smelling everywhere,
And a field with planks of wood,
And piles of mud and stones,
For men on bicycles,
With big helmets.

I think anything that might help take pressure of the nearby trail that has sensitive access is a good thing.
And if it ends up like a better, steeper (that won't be hard!) version of somewhere like Market Rasen Trailblazerz then it could be a lot of fun for playing on.

I had a look yesterday and granted, it does look rather like a few planks of wood lined up in a field.... but for me personally, being scared to take off a relatively small kicker in the vicinity, it's probably ideal.

Beta request:
Can anyone think of any venues that have riding the same standard as (or maybe a bit easier than) fast line, a less brutal push up and within striking distance of Yorkshire?

eckington?
Where is that and what's it like?
I am looking for a venue to take junior during Feb half term and as I will have to push both our bikes, it needs to have a reasonable push up. Tables, small drops would be a bonus as well.

Sort of, but incognito so I dont get stalked by my students. Do I have to be your facebook friend ?
The place looks ideal though.
