heads up. all proceeds to Sheffield Childrens Hospital.

I'm going.

Over 12 vets already up for it, most never raced before.

Low key, high fun day out.

I have  aset of 888s at 170mm, gold tops ( real ones from Itay) RCs.

would be v v good on a bullit.

i've seen that bike, at sheepskulls... you want that 66 *feel* with a a bit more stiffness?

yours for £140.

Was that aimed at me or PeeWee?  If you meant me then no thanks... My Boxxers are now sat on the front of a Socom,  the bullit's sat in the garage until I decide what to do with it.

any one really..

I need to get my arse in gear and have a bike bits sale...

I've at least 2 frames, 3 forks, a few brake sets, flat pedals &  a dozen or so tyres and god knows what else.

may even sell a whole bike as well....

i might be interested in some new brakes provided they're not heavy as hell downhill ones and not silly money

I was riding a Bullit up until 2months ago. I've had Pikes, Marzocchi 66's & Boxxers on it.

The Pikes felt too short & steep.  The Boxxers were bought for my trip to the alps last year.  They felt odd also.  Can't quite put my finger on it but it always felt like you had to throw your weight over the from of the bike to make it stick when cornering fast.

The 66's were perfect, I had 2007sl's which had travel adjust from 140-180mm.  It made for a really versatile bike which could be ridden pretty much anywhere at a push!

You should be able to pick a set of 66's up for very little as Marzocchi really seem to have fallen out of fashion.

What are the Domains like??? they seem to be going pretty cheap or is that for a reason??

Cheers Pete

I've only ever had a very quick play on a bike with them fitted, so I'd say I'm not qualified to comment too much.  A couple of friends have had them on their bikes and have been pretty happy with them on alpine/whistler holidays.  I think they're pretty heavy though.

Would your budget stretch to a set of Lyric u-turns(wiggle seems the best price i can fin after a quick search)?  They would sit perfectly upfront on the bullit, would be perfect for your alpine holiday and would be a much better suited fork for all round use when you get back.

I'd like to get a set but it seems they are all 1.5" steerer's and i don't think my bullit will take that (2005 model) as it will need a bigger headset.

Just got a set of RC3 66's with 180mm travel and 1 1/8th steerer should do the job nicely, picking them up later this week.

sorry Ian, just being my normally slack self. yeah will have the place off you!

Top tip from last night, when changing pads on your avids, make sure they seat back in properly........emergency breaking last night when messing round on bike and back brake failed completely cos pad had fell out! interesting plough through a hedge and over the bars ensued!

Does'nt hurt much but keep getting knocked back on the op. If it happens again next week I will probs not have it done as time is moving on and I need to be sorted for end july (which I reckon I will as things seem to be going)

Cant believe that Bradford only has one surgeon capable of operating on my shoulder :doubt:

My physio does work with the trauma specialist for british superbikes, he tells me that those lads are dosed up with painkillers and back on a bike in 24 hours :o THAT IS HARDCORE!
