It's never an exact science but I take about a 42 in normal shoes and 39.5 / 40 in all the Scarpas I've tried.

I rang them and asked. I mentioned that I'm a street size 8 and take a 7.5 in anasazis a 6 in muiras and based on that they advised that I get a 42. I'm not completely convinced but they're on the way so I'll let you know when they arrive.

I'm a street size 9-9.5, wear an 8 in lace-ups and am a 41 in Stix.

I wouldn't panic till you get them. My feet are a bit funny and I've got the Stix pretty tight. (They are remarkably comfy for the size and style of shoe). I bought them as a board/training shoe but use them for steep bouldering and sport as well now. Starting to prefer them to my white lace-ups!

Phew! they fit ok! I could probably go a half size smaller, but they'd be a real challenge to get on. I didn't want them cripplingly tight anyway, i've got my miura's for that!

Lets discuss the slack heel on them though!!

Slack heel? Really, they're super snug on my feet. Best heel on a slipper/velcro I've come across.

(Glad they fit!)

Yeah, it's almost like there's a dead space between my heal and the sole and no matter ho hard i push my foot in, it never quite fills out.

Still for £35 you can't complain.

I've just opened the invoice note and written on it is the following:

"Hi Ben, I think I may have suggested a 42 on the phone, but in retrospect a 41 is probably more accurate."

Sure enough, they've sent a 41. Now that's good service!

Cheers for this. Just ordered a pair in 43, same as my Anasazi V2s.

Hope they're comfy for wide feet!

You'll be glad they did, I went to a shop to try some on before I ordered, similar foot size to you and a 42 was far too big, went for a 41, but probably could've squeezed into a 40, but they had none in the shop. Agree with the heels, they seem gash, but their only going to be used in the Gorton garage and Broughton, so it shouldn't be a problem. They feel very strange on the foot, the toe box is very roomy, then the shoe seems to get very narrow, and they feel like they would roll on the foot alot, but didn't seem to when in action. Just panicking now that they'll stretch out, and I'll regret not getting the 40, time will tell.

I used them down at the climbing academy on Saturday and they're pretty good for the steep stuff. I even heel hooked successfully with them! I'm glad i didn't go any smaller than a 41 as I wouldnt have been able to get them on! As it is, they were damn painful on the outer edge of my feet after about 15-20 mins.

In summary for those wanting sixing info:
street size: 8
anasazi velcro: 7.5
miura: 6
scarpa stix: 41

Or perhaps not......

Just picked up mine from the sorting office. Got 39.5s as that's what I've got in the blue (girls) version of the Booster. They're fucking tight, in fact I could only just get the left one on (bigger left foot), but feel spot on once on. They will take a bit of stretching but then the blues did (months in fact) and are now perfect.

I also take a 42 street shoe but I have got narrow feet.

I ordered a pair on friday im a street size 8.5/ 9 depending on shoe, so ordered a 40.5 and once i managed to get it on my foot was crippled and couldn stand on my toes at all,my toes were tottally knuckled up.  so ive bought another pair in 41.5 but think they might be too small so phoned the guy today 20mins before the order went out and got him to change them for a 42, bet he thought i was a right pain lol hopefully he managed to change the order or ill have two pairs that are no good for me   :-[ though he did say i can be refunded

You've only recently started climbing right mate?

I wouldn't bother with these shoes if I were you as they are way too downturned and specialised for your needs. Get the refund and spend the cash on something more that gives more allround performance.

Just got a pair of 38.5's which feel very snug, but not painful. BTW I'm a 39 in the new Anasazi velcro/40 in the old pinks, for reference.

hi my name's steven and i'm a shoe hoarder.

in bag
1x dragons
1x large v10s for comfy downtoe shiz (only come out in blue moon)
1x tight v10s for extreme pain (may only come out in 'one last go' moments)
1x comfy tight v10 toe rubber down to rand
1x anasazi blue slippers should be wall shoes but have been neglected
1x evolv punters, general allrounder

in garage
2/3 pairs of blown blue slippers

the 5.10 projects look tempting, a replacement for the jet7s that "replaced" the v10s?

 :-\

Yeah, why not?

I bought a pair of these but I’m not too sure about the size either! I got the 42 euro’s which I think is about an 8. After a while trying to squeeze them onto my feet I got them on but standing does hurt my toes. Do they stretch much or would it be worth getting the 43’s? If they break in I’ll persevere, but I don’t want to trade them in for a smaller size to find they stretch out and get too big?

By the by – despite the super tight fit the heel does feel a bit baggy still.

Let’s hope they put the 5.10 dragon’s on for £35 sometime soon too!

i received my pair in a 42 (uk 8), and i found them a lot easier to get on than the 40.5 but not much different in the toe box, the heel has a bit of breathing space but will not come off for any thing ill be attempting soon, ive only been used to wearing evolv defys which are really comfy and a all round shoe so the stix are gonna take some getting used to, i had a climb in them yesterday and they are ok once the shoe warms up, they must stretch a bit while warm cos if i take them off for a bit then put them on again they feel really tight, think they will stretch out a bit in time tho  :)

I think they feel too tight. Infact I don't think scarpas fit my feet very well because even though they are well tight there's still space in them!  :-\

sticking with the 5.10's from now on!

will they stretch enough..? or shoule i get a bigger size..?

they're a size 44 and ideally a 45 would be better...anyone for swappsies...? :)

Used them at Malham today, and mighty impressive they felt. Sensitive and suportive, yet comfy as well. Time to order another few pairs I think.

Not really impressed with rock and run. Placed my order and sent them an email straight after with a query concerning holding them for a week or so (as im still living in spain and am returning home end of june) incase someone returns or cancels an order for a smaller size as there site was having problems and when i tried later my size was sold. Didn't get a reply just an automated email 2 days later saying they were dispatched. After ringing them up they just said we dispatched them nothing they could do.. An email to say that would have been nice not an automated reply after they were dispatched?

on a plus they said i could return or exchange them if another set came in (and i would pay the postage for it). hmmm

Wait, you're complaining that you bought something over the internet and they sent it out to you TOO QUICKLY??

That is the first time I've ever seen that complaint. I'm tempted to wad you for having nanometrically precise expectations. But I won't.
