Cloggy. Is that it for this year or is there a chance some part may still being in condition/stay in condition for a while yet?
Cheers

I can see it quite clearly from my garden, at least I would if it hadn't been draped in cloud for the last month or so. We are heading into some good weather now (this weekend and next look good), but I would direct your energies elsewhere. You might find some dry rock up there, but the chances are there'll be a lot of greasy ming and seepage around.

Si,

How are the crags in The Pass and Ogwen?

It is beautiful and sunny here and everything is drying off - this is the fabled indian summer. Get it while you can.

Thinking back to the Cloggy question - maybe I was too quick to condemn...

Sycophancy will get you everywhere.

I reckon it'll be grand, albeit with the odd dusty hold and a little residual dampness under foot on the walk in.

It was good although there was still a fair bit of micro-seepage in the seams on E and NW facing stuff. Still enough climbable despite lack of traffic, and nice temps. Walk-in was a bit boggy but *I* at least didn't go in.

Sorry for reviving an old thread but I'm basically repeating the OP's question but for this wkend..

I suspect I'm being optomistic, but any knowledge or informed speculation would be greatly appreciated. Specific routes (as they tend to avoid deep cracks to hopefully that will swing it) are great wall, midsummer night's dream and the axe.

Cheers

I reckon the face climbs will be okay, but some seepage still lingering in the cracks. Cloud inversion this morning; it was foggy/cloudy in Cwm y Glo, but spoke to a mate in Llanberis and there was blue skies. It's all burning off now. Bloody gorgeous!
