St. Bees tomorrow?
June 20, 2009, 01:39:32 pm
I am heading down tomorrow after 12pm, weather looks good and the tide will be on it's way out. Anybody keen to join me?

A few of us where there for a couple of hours in the afternoon, but I guess you didn't make it.

Hadn't been before, beautiful place, looking forward to going back

How do.

I ended up going to the Bowderstone to be bitten by midges instead. Shame in retrospect I should defo have gone to St. Bees. I'm guessing it was absolutely lush down there as well? Typical.

How far did you travel?

hi, we were staying at ullswater so only about an hour or so.

didn't have too long there as various factions had trains to catch, so just ran round doing the easier stuff. the rock is amazing though, and we didnt even make it past the apiary wall area.

fully intend to be back for a longer session and hopefully some routes as well.

the non-climbers had great fun watching the wonky flying stylings of the razorbills :)

Glad you had fun and enjoyed the setting. It is a great place that you don't really tire of.

Next time your visiting let me know and I'll endeavour to get there also.

Definatley will do, the topo was a bit confusing, and there we're a fair few chalked up lines not on there, so any local knowledge would be much appreciated

A local guide is helpful  ;)

There is loads to go at, enough to keep you occupied anyway. Good luck with the routes as well, I've not done any as I am allergic to ropes. Some of them look terrifying!!
