School just called, I'll have to teach the entire weekend for the upcoming exams of next week. It was a long weekend, due to a national holiday on Monday, and I had planned to go and crush 6b's in Ticino. Crash pads booked, friends, etc. and obviously I have to cancel everything. Just for money. What have I become...

Cheers Alex, I just can't say no. I need money.
Also, saying no now could mean losing work in the future... There are tons of teachers in desperate search for schools and hours to teach...
Let's say it's an investment for the future.
Those 6b's will have to wait.

Bugger. Just wait til you're a big shot lawyer representing Berlusconi, then you can say no. But not to the drugs and girls, obviously.

I don't think it's a coincindence that some of his lawyers went to jail... One of his sercretaries was found - and arrested - at the airport with 24 kilos of cocaine in her suitcase. Smart girl.
I''d be the first lawyer to actively push for his client to be claimed guilty!

So the family are away from tomorrow until I join them at the weekend. That was 3 evenings of potential climbing booked in. I was planning to climb straight from work until it was dark then drink beer/eat chips/salad. But the forecast is fucking Marti Pellows band. WTFF. NNFN.
PS Yes I will go to the tor/ride my bike if need be Shark/Norton respectively

Bike number 2 is gone.
Went to Lyon for the weekend with the lass to get to some shops that aren't available in Cham, go to some decent bars, watch some live music, climb a bit and see the fireworks (and check Lyon out as a potential place to stay if we move away).
Grabbed her old Dutch town bike and my on-one 456 with its recently serviced forks... Got to Lyon, parked up and cycled to the centre, locked the bikes in the main street to a bike staple with 2 locks (admittedly, our less tough locks - we left in a but of a rush and didn't get a chance to sway bike locks round...)
There was some kind of a Palestine demonstration going on so a pretty heavy police presence in town so we thought nothing of locking them up for an hour or two as we went around some shops etc.) Came back, locks cut, my bike gone, hers just sitting there unlocked.
Now I'm just praying its covered by my CAF insurance as it covers "sporting equipment". We'll see.

Went on a 2 day mission to Sheffield from Bristol to find a rental property. Only found one we liked, put in an application, went back to Bristol only to be called this morning that the current tenant has changed his mind about moving out and because it's easier for the landlord to keep him on than start legal action he'll probably do that!

Nevermind beast, I got the bike back after 3 months waiting for carburetor spare parts that never came... After ultrasound cleaning we put back on the original jets and needle, I rode it for a couple of days...
Completely out of carburation, with a big big hole between 3.500 and 5.000 rpm.
Thought it was going to be ok with time, also because from 5.000 rpm up it was powering and powering.
Took it yesterday night, it switched off at stops, traffic lights, etc. No minimum. Got home somehow, still didn't manage to turn it on again...
Charging battery now, but I'm sure it's not that.
Hopefully new jets and needle will arrive today...
Jesuschrist, what have I bought...
Every other day I think about selling it... But then it's so beautiful... And when it goes... Wow!!!

Not my misery but just had news that Ben Davison has had a really bad fall in Norway. Fell 10-15m to the ground after messing up a rope transfer.
Heli ride to Trondheim hospital with broken wrist, ankle and pelvis. Alan Cassidy is with him and I have spoken to him. Waiting for scans before operating.
He will be ok though and is a lucky bastard to not be far worse.
If anyone n here knows him send him a text or message to keep him upbeat.
Poor lad was on a tear as well getting close to 9a. Going to have to wait until next year now.
