I think if I was aiming at a few 7C's in font I'd most want to get on Berezina, Eclipse, Big Boss, Hotline, L'Arrache Cœur and Noir Desir. Typing that has just made me think twice about sacking off font for swiss this year...hmm  ???

Can I just ask why "Swiss" seems to have become the name of the little country between France, Germany, Austria and Italy? Surely if we need to shorten it we could type "Switz". Perhaps there's some historical precident I'm missing?

Just thought I'd smugly check back in having had two completely mint days in Le Foret on Saturday/Sunday, though wet snow on Monday...

L'Arrache Coeur is indeed a brilliant problem and a must for lanky types  ;D

La Gaule at Cuvier looks brilliant, so thanks Sausage for the tip on that. It's on the list for when I'm back out two weeks from now :P

Had a brilliant mileage day at Gros Sablons (not much there, but some nice 7as) and Rocher Guichot (Perfect warm up area, with a great little 7a hug problem called Jour de Reve).

We heard a lot of Dame Jouanne has been roped off due to erosion, so I'd be interested to know whether Tour de Babel and L'Angle Parfait are currently out of bounds?

No they're not. Chunks of la Mauve, the greatest circuit in the forest no less, are (though I daresay its still doable and the best thing I've done in font by a country mile), but I don't think any of the problems in the 7s & 8s guide are. L'angle plus que parfait is also fantastic and probably easier for gritstoners, the slab to the right isn't though.

amazing problem, a lot harder than it looks, I have failed this problem on 3 occasions now, keep meaning to go and finish it.

hardly esoteric mind, its in one of the popular areas and right on the SB walking path you keep moving your pads to let the walkers past
