nearly there - how to join unreal server?
January 24, 2009, 12:57:03 pm
after much effort i have (i think) managed to configure my router and ports correctly for Unreal Tournament. i have used UT's in-game server browser but all i get are servers with high pings (over 100).
Jolt seem to have various servers
http://forums.jolt.co.uk/showthread.php?t=389995
but when i try to connect to any of these it looks like the router is doing its stuff (ie lights flashing) but then nothing happens. i assume, even if theres nobody playing on these servers, i should still be able to join a 'game'? how long should it take to actually join a game, are we talking seconds or minutes?
is there anything obvious i might have missed in the setup?
also, any suggestions for UK based UT servers that are worth trying?
thanks
