Back in our winter, this litle chap flew in through the front door to escape the unwanted attention of the local magpies - obviously he had escaped from somewhere and been blown around by the big storm that had swept through the night before. He happily slept up on a curtain rail for a couple of hours then came down to nosh on some flowers in the kitchen before the rescue people came for him.

Our resident magpie pair have produced three more offspring this season so we have up to six of the noisy beggars warbling around the place at the moment (the runt of last years brood is still around.)
