I love the way how, 58 pages in, its still just as easy to get Magpie to completely melt as it was at the start.

What I am most curious about is how she gets the towel to stay on, when I do that with my hair after washing it, it always falls off, yet hers stays on with added cat weight!  :-\

Maybe the weight of the cat keeps the towel on - amazing cats actually do have a purpose on this planet after all.

What can I say, I'm easily pleased. :-[   You should see what happens if you present me with a real live cute furry creature.  ;)

Chris, any more anti-cat chat and I will be forced to punter you, and I don't want to have to do that. [/sternvoice]

An even better standing cat!!

Quote
Standing cat is likely to elicit the response "he looks like people!" And for good reason. He looks like people. Especially at the 30-second point when you think, just for a second, he's going to scratch his head in bewilderment.

He looks like people!

It is real!  I have just watched it again and you can see his wee tummy go on and out breathing and more when he gets excited, and he does a shake and has to re-balance at one point and then at the end he drops back down.  IT IS REAL.  I will listen to none of your reason to prove otherwise.

Oh no!  Why?  I hope you towel dried him afterwards, poor lamb.

Yes, he got a good towel drying.  He smells a bit as he's getting old and wobbly on his feet and doesn't seem to be grooming himself.  Although he did have a go after the bath (when the picture was taken).  Still smells of lavendar five days later

You're not supposed to use smelly soap on them!

Old ones do need washed sometimes, they get bad at grooming as they get more achey so they aren't as fastidious, bless them.

Did he not go mad?  I occasionally have to wash bits of mine after litter tray incidents and they do not go quietly, sometimes I am tempted to wash Zia's feet just to hear her make her special 'I'm going to rip your throat out' noises.

Paula (my long suffering wife) is a hairdresser and assured me that it was one of the mildest shampoo's on the market, I drew the line at conditioning and blow-drying though.

He was surprisingly calm about being washed, although is one of the most docile/placid cats I've ever come across and in 10 years hasn't swipped or bitten either of us once (unlike our other minx, who I'm far more wary of washing, but fortunately she doesn't need it...yet).

Cats are great at sitting up right for one reason, and one reason only...
