It's awful cute, but £1k!!  I'm not sure it's not that cute.  :-\

Your mum's dog is cute, the one on the left looks like a face nipper.

I may be abnormal, but I can't see how that dog is "cute".  It's got a face like Gordon Brown and wrinkly skin like a fat lad on a crash diet.

Sorry

The pug?

It's cute because it's so ugly it shouldn't be, it's the SCIENCE of irrational cuteness, do keep up, sir.

That's just a cleverly edited video of a guy with his arm up a puppet trunk.

Cynic?  Moi?

I used to own (and probably still have it somewhere) a dictionary which defined "cute" as "ugly, but appealing" - I had to look it up in about 1990 because I didn't get what people meant by "cute"; this definition helped.

Just to throw a curve-ball, 'cute' also means 'pretending to be clever' and also actually being sharp/ clever. HTF did English develop words with related but contradictory meanings!

I've only met one person who consitently uses it in this sense, gotta say, and he doesn't seem to see the roomfuls of people looking very confused in meetings, over and over again.

I think most people understand cute in the sense that a sweet little pussy is cute. :spank:

I always thought that 'cute' means that a girl likes you as a friend (and will abuse your generous offers of assistance), but you've got fuck all chance of  :shag:

I always thought the opposite - ugly, but she will still shag you.

I always thought cute in the intelligence sense was used when someone was deliberately pretending to be stupid, when they clearly aren't, like playing bimbo.  But I could be wrong

With regards to the cute / shagging thing, I think it can work either way.  Cute is more a personality trait than a purely physical thing, thus meaning it can both help and hinder you chances of getting some.  Here endeth the LADY SCIENCE.

Now, things with hearts on, SUPER CUTE!!
