Completely bizarre. I'm not sure I like it very much. I'd prefer people, myself included, to be suitably scared of these animals not tickling them like a tabby.

Hmmm if Pie survives the CROD, I guess that's is where she'll aim for next.

On the other hand, here's something that is appropriately domesticated:

It's a walking rug/mop combination!!

You've got to be careful when sniffing flowers around these parts (the inceident in the story happened about 20 minutes drive from where we are.)

Sounds like stopping to smell the flowers every now and then isn't that good for you.

Lagers Jr is without doubt uber-cute (this along with the troutpics) :)

Also nice to see a Staffy getting some good press for once.

Also nice to see a Staffy getting some good press for once.

She was bred for showing, but grew waaaay too big according to some dumb rules.

I got her off a mate who couldn't cope with her due to his smack habit; Sky was due to be given to a dealer as part payment on a big debt, but her owner couldn't face the prospect of her being turned into a nasty guard dog (beaten up by guys dressed as police, chained to front door etc) so I took her. It took about two months to get her worst habits under control....ish. She was 4 1/2 stone of needy love and in the end I realised that I didn't have enough spare hours in the day to keep her happy. She went on to live with a suitably unemployed friend (also with a small child to look after).

Favourite memories are -

1. She ate the window sill and surrounding plasterwork.

2. She got her head stuck in the cat flap whenever anyone came to the door (despite my efforts at taping it/locking it/boarding it up.

3. I heard Lagers Jr (2 1/2 years old) howling with laughter and making strange sounds - I came downstairs to find my daughter spooning melted ice cream into her own mouth and then blowing raspberries at the dog, covering her head in vanilla mess and causing her to roll around licking off the ice cream in a wild comedy style - then sitting up ready for the next go.

4. Lagers Jr and Sky were downstairs and being very quiet. I investigated. They were taking it in turns to pull strips of wallpaper off the wall. This was not part of any redecoration regime. I couldn't help but laugh.

5. Lagers Jr used to ride around on Sky's back - wish I had a pic of that.

That sounds a lot like my early childhood, being raised by a golden retriever (but with slightly more destruction and slightly less bathing together).

There's also a slender loris, that wees on his hands to make them sticky before going climbing trees. Bit like using pof only less socially acceptable.

I apologise for the unsightly bald man, but raindeer are kind of nice to look at and even nicer to touch.
