Telescopic ladder
January 12, 2009, 10:43:31 am
Just wondered if anyone owns or has used a telescopic ladder for dogging (not that sort) purposes? Admittedly, I don't think they can be used in roof or cave sections as there are only two legs, but look as though they would be light and fit nicely inside a pad.

Some examples here and here.

Perhaps worth a purchase...?

Gaz Parry appears to have something similar in the Parisella's section on HXS - thought it looked good but remember looking at the time and only finding really expensive ones.  May also prove useful for temporary patioing purposes?

Only used one for work purposes. I think you could use it on roof stuff as long as your spotter isn't a wimp and you're not pulling onto AKIRA?

Wouldn't be the worst use of 35 quid perhaps.

I doubt they'd have the strength in the long axis for that type of thing.

I have one like this

http://www.ladders-direct.com/acatalog/multi-function-ladder.html

and can reccomend it helps to be able to use it as a step or straight for cleaning holds and the such like only problem is its a bit bulkier than a telescopic one but I have a big enough car not to worry

I think not either. And any minor kinks will probably mean a loss of telescopicity

I've seen a few half decent telescopic ladders for around the £150 mark, too expensive really for occosional use IMO
