Font forecast.
December 26, 2008, 05:28:38 pm
Looking promising to me: http://www.wunderground.com/global/stations/07157.html?MR=1
http://uk.weather.com/weather/10day-Paris-FRXX0076

This seems to be a classic example of high pressure sitting around (it is over Europe ATM, right?? South East of us anyway), and it seems to be lasting into next weekend at least i.e. the usual 2-3 weeks. Would I be right in assuming that this isn't too likely to change rapidly?? Am planning on a last minute trip to Font for NYE and am having the usual weather flap....reassurance / "wtf are you on get it booked already" welcome...;)

Errr. Tis all. Happy Boxing Day...

Blocking high sitting over northern europe at the moment. Not too good for waves in N Sea, or snow in W Europe, but mint bloddering conditions. Enjoy looks to be hanging sbout until early Jan.

How so? Rain?

Still mint in the peak, no precipitation other than hoar frost for about a week now.

Wank wank wank wank wank wank   :furious: >:(

One day of the best winter weather ever, 2 days of frozen rain and clag, and a few pissy hours of almost dry stuff before the ferry. FUCKING CUNTING FORECAST. How the flaming cocksnot can it RAIN when it's MINUS FUCKING 2'C or less?!?!

P.S. Adam some bits of Buthiers Canard and Tennis are dry.

It does it for months at a time in Scotland so I'm guessing it's not too difficult.  >:(

The next week ahead is forecast to get savagely cold (-15°C) - in Germany at least - I doubt it will be much warmer in Font.

I tell a lie, there was a tiny amount of snow last night though the sun today has removed it from all but the odd shaded surface. Good to hear my decision not to go to font was the right one... why isn't there a smug emoticon?

I have been going to font for twenty years and sometimes the forecast is a bit off ..... as you would expect with a forecast..... however last weekend must rate as the worst forecast ever !!!!

Gorge aux Chats dries pretty damn quick, I'm sure there are other areas too, check the map and pay careful attention to the contours.

Indeed, Rubis Sur l'ongle seems to be ever dry! Which is a really cool 7b+ Andi.

Probably about 1 or 2 am at this rate- our ferry lands at 10pm uk time in dunkerque so we've got about 4 hours from there.

I wouldn't put too much trust in those long range forecasts. Checked em before going to Font last year and the year before and they were totally wrong both times.
