Anna Taylor has repeated Franco Cookson's Psykovskys Sequins E8 7a on the North York Moors. Third ascent bumping think, after Franco and Dave Birkett. Interestingly she chose to solo it despite there being some gear (a filed down slider).

Didnt fraco solo that, give it E10 and then Birkett filed the slider and downgraded it to E8?

Good work Anna... crikey.

Nah, he just wanted to share the glory with his mates, which is fair enough.

It does make for a very confusing coda to the route description though, making it sound like several people lead it then Dave Warbuton soloed it! Not quite as confusing as the use of the word ‘reflexing’ though.

Agreed. Not a fucking chance Sam Marks is getting his sausage chops in them shot holes.

I thought it was fairly common for climber + belayer to get credited? This just seems like an extension of that. Probably made more sense back in the day when if the leader fell off there's a reasonable chance you'd both die, or at least get some horrible bruises from the waist belay which has gotta deserve some credit

Nice! Wonder if Dave was a bit annoyed not to get the FA on this, probably thought an 8b+ project in Invernesshire was quite safe!

Equally it's quite nice for it to be significant enough to attract international attention, get a likely solid grade and then DMac to repeat it.

In the early Middle Ages Edinburgh was part of Northumbria, so its inhabitants were Angles (English) rather than British, Gaels or Picts. Though I’ve always assumed Will was another from the great clan of Italian-Scots.

All routes at Malham are a bit eliminate as  the staircase left is much easier.
