Dunno if this counted as significant but Luke Dawson climbed progress today. Said he fell off the last move he thought he’d fall off last Saturday, only to climb through it 3 times and fall above. Then on his last go of the weekend climbed through even higher and fall on the last tricky move before it gets easy.

Was probably a formality this weekend. What a beast.

Again not sure how significant this is but Angus Kille did Quarryman yesterday.

Ha shit typed “both” but autocorrect must have changed it to nothing.

Just in case there was any conclusion about Dan Middletons recent activity, I can confirm he has done diddly squat... unless you count drinking beer.

Good effort doing it in this heat!

I couldn't sleep, let alone climb 8B+!

So it was still 20+ degrees at 10pm last night and given that it’s dark in the photo presumably he did it some time between 11pm and 4am this morning. Brilliant.

Humidity was low though - if he had some breeze it would have been great conditions. Apart from the insects!

Yes it was a dry heat, but unless he had a portable fridge in which to laze between attempts his body would have been somewhat warm. Ergo his fingers/skin.

Sorry but 8B+ mingin lime yesterday is world class!

Yeah I’ve got one of those. Didn’t take it out yesterday as it was being used in the kids’ bedroom  :(

You're in with the in crowd!

Wednesday was the first time I've ever been bouldering in Scotland and thought one would be useful.

A decent size one would work for the midge i guess.

They’re great to keep the insects away. I’ve used mine a few times for just that purpose.

It’s presently keeping our little one cool whilst he’s playing Lego. Also used it to help dry washing on a clothes drier - and for drying wet patches on carpet where there’s been a spillage.

Not something I would have considered as conditions not a big deal when your punter if in the 7s but hadn’t thought about midge repellent

As a mid 7’s punter it’s been very useful for drying condensed/damp holds. Especially the low ones at the back of caves for sit starts on line etc.. depends on the prob. Made the difference between a wasted 90-120min round trip or not a few times.

I dont think conditions make that much difference if your not trying stuff at your limit, not to the extent i fee i need to cart a fan about.
