School grades are actually similar to outside grades #soft
I would agree with that great problems though and it's the history what makes it, hope to see you in there Chris,.. perky?? Snot??

Been to the new place once. Was ace, 10 years since last on it.

Quote
Perky isn't significant, loads of people have done this now, most wads do it in a few attempts. Milk It in a session is very impressive though, other ascents have taken at 10+ sessions I'd imagine
.

Downgrade!

Most of my post was tongue in cheek, but I still think that Perky is significant due to its history.
Of course a weight-vested ascent would be more significant.

And let's not forget what happened to the last guy who was 'beyond impressive' at The School.

Alex Megos? Didn't he go on to do Perfecto Mundo. Cause and effect, hein?

Quite a few people have been as impressive as Simpson was and they’re not too shabby on rock either.

No, he went to Stanage and got burnt off by Dave.

Lonnie Kauk has repeated Magic Line again, placing the gear on lead this time, and suggesting an upgrade to 14c (8c+) for this style. His Dad Ron did the first ascent in 1996, Lonnie repeated it in 2016, both using pre-placed gear.

Report and pictures in Rock and Ice

The route still awaits it's first Kauk-free ascent.

Good effort! He climbed all the pitches of The Nose free last year but not in a continuous push.

He’s done Walk of Life at Dyer’s Lookout and hard trad. routes in Japan.

Conor Herson (15) has freed The Nose! Weekend trip, Great Roof second go, Changing Corners fourth go.

He’d (aid) climbed the route before numerous times with his Dad from a very young age (some great trip reports on Jim Herson’s blog).

Can we please at least just recognise the fact that this young person is operating with the severe handicap that their name is a homophone of "See da pigeon". That must at least count for something.

Frances Bensley has done Fat Lip 8B.

This might be the first 8B done by a female in the UK
