One day, 3 goes is far too vague. Only hours and minutes count.

You never know what kind of highly specific training these top climbers might get up to these days. There was an interview with Melissa Le Neve after one of the comps the other week where she was talking about badminton.

Alex Megos sent biographie/realisation 3rd go yesterday. Not sure how many hours that consisted of though...

(From his Facebook)
:2thumbsup:

And yeah, you're not allowed to write that he did it in one day/3 goes. People will flip out...

Whoever split the thread made a fucking mess of it didn't they. ;)

A new thread has been created covering Shauna's groundbreaking ascent of New Base Line entitled Shaunawad as this warrants being a news item in its own right that can be highlighted on the front page and the expectation that this thread will be an ongoing place to post her successive future achievements.

Fancy a snickers?

I'm waiting for you to come and collect it at 100mph on a motorbike with a pad strapped to your back.

Looks like Ellis Butler-Barker has onsighted Cuchills for your finguers at Rodellar: http://www.ukclimbing.com/logbook/c.php?i=158141

Think that puts him a fairly select list of brits who've onsighted 8b?

Without meaning to be a dick, if you look it up on 8a (and use the right spelling) it seems concensus is more like 8a/+. (One of the comments is even 'local consensus is 8a')

Does look like he's having a very good trip though.

It's somewhere between 10 and 15 Brits who've onsighted 8b, depending on how strict you get with grades..

Fair play. Don't know the route at all to be honest, was just stalking UKC top ascents when my eye was drawn to the large number.

Jule Wurm, the German climber perhaps best known for her performances in the bouldering world cups, has done pura vida, the well known boulder problem in Switzerland (which I thought was 8B, but seems to mostly get 8A+ these days, so perhaps not that significant?)

Thats better, didn't take that much extra effort did it.

....says the person who always used to be "Yeah I was chatting to Chris at Ceuse, he's done the proj" as a news report :P ;)

P.S. Jules always has very cute facial expressions / grimaces in the comps.

I'm on my phone as the laptop's bust atm, so actually it was a bit of a pain. And I kind of assumed that anyone who cared would know who/what Jule/pura vida was.
And what fiend said, it did amuse me that it was you who complained...
