Nigel missed out the fact that he also climbed Gaia. So a good day all round. Has Gaia had an ascent with a chalk and blow on every move?!
'A blow on every move..?!' ?
Nice one both of you :strongbench:

I assume he whispered "..still got it" having rolled over that final move

Modest bastard. Still, not at all 'significant' so presumably he was keeping his head down. Who went first?

Bloody good effort flashing Gaia, the top of the groove is a bit sketch until you know what you're doing, I'm glad I didn't go for the flash.

It's an absolute path if you headpoint it.

Yeah pre-practising the shit out of ancient routes is not significant hence no need to spray. However I'll quite happily be less modest in the various drinking holes of Sheffield, especially after a few, by which time I'm usually the best climber ever. Anyway, to answer your question; Dave went first, after I'd top-roped it. It was a spur of the moment thing I think, I certainly didn't know beforehand! I must admit I was really really gripped belaying him as if he'd fallen off he might not have been able to belay me, but thank fully he cruised it so he could perform his duties.

Just saw on 8A that Callum coldwell-storry has flashed black Lung and blackout in Joes valley (both 8B), strong effort if true!
The ascents have now been removed, along with the mandala

Effort. Was the beta just from watching the video or was someone else on it too ?

Dunno about video, Nathan brushed a few holds and tried tried the top moves on ab briefly,  I pulled up the rope to film and before I'd gone over Ryan topped out, dispatched. Neil Mawson went next after a few falls on the boulder. Katy got up to the higher crux but jumped off due to rain and el pumpo. Strong team.

According to Facebook, looks like Hamish Potokar has done The Ace?

I love those dancers he brought with him. I guess the tune playing was Stand and Deliver ...?

I guess you mean The Joker? A quality effort regardless, especially considering he won the BMC youth selection comp thingy on the same weekend.

"Can't touch this"

Good effort all the same but the Ace and the Joker are significantly different!

Yes this is officially no longer significant since Dobbin did it but lets cut the young man some slack as he is on an upward trajectory. Remember - you saw him here first

Brilliant. My guess would be Prince Charming and I'm not afraid of being ridiculed for this.
