Will Bosi has done practice of the wild in only a couple of sessions by the sound of it.

That dyno looks ace. I'm not one to read into things but "I can't comment on the grade" is code for "it was a path".  ;D

Jesuschrist. A path.
No wonder though, once you've done Hubble, everything else is p**s.

MacLeod confirmed the grade. Then gave something 8b+ in Scotland that he said was much harder

And then I highlighted how farcically grade-playing that was, and then got a couple of plebs on here bleating on about how dare I nitpick Dave Mac's grades (commenting on a public blog post that itself went into excruciating detail about how his Arisaig problem was both harder but graded much lower than various problems, oh how dare I) and circle-jerk wadding each other's idiocy as if that was a convincing argument

Turnip did Little Women today. Doesn't get done often and he's put a hell of a lot into it. Great effort.  :clap2:

Crikey, that is big news...over a decade since the first ascent if I'm correct. Looks like he's confirmed the grade if I'm reading the Instagram post correctly.

For a line that's (by modern standards at least) "only" 8a, and slap bang in the middle of one of the most obvious, accessible crags in Yorkshire, I can't believe it's taken this long. Guess a lot of the local wad squad don't like the idea of tenuous airy pebble pulling!

I think Ryan Pasquill and Nige Kershaw repeated this a while back, or maybe I have made this up.

No point asking the Quill, he'll have forgotten all about it anyway by now!

I did a quick forum search and most of the pebbledash posts were about the damp in your house!

Oi  >:(

No I didn't do it. I did try it on a rope before it got done and suggested that from memory I thought it was perhaps less than 8A. Happy to be told I was wrong.

Its the latter! For me at least - I've never tried it. Don't know about Ryan, although I think he downclimbed a similar line on the way home from a night out, after a few beers on top of the Calf.

If we're making things up ;-)

In other news, Jan Hojer has actually done Es Pontas. 3rd ascent after Chris Sharma and Jernej Kruder, I believe.

Not sure it’s the full thing, rather Speed (8c+), I hope to be proved wrong though. The man likes a crimp.

The Quill. What. A. Legend! Well psyched for him!

Talking to Maddie the other day and I asked if she’d been hiding the beers to help him get the edge for the redpoint... she replied saying that Beer in Switzerland was too expensive. Maybe the Quill should get himself Tim Flatanger??

Where there's a Quill there's a way. Nice work Ryan!
