Seb Bouin walked up Ciudad de Dios, 9a/+ at Santa Linya today. Can't have found it very hard because he then put in a good stab at finishing up Novena Enmienda, 9a+.

Has that link been done before? My knowledge banks are letting me down...

The mental decline starts at 30  :jab:

Not that I'm aware of, though i haven't checked that carefully. It's not in PODs Lleida guide, and I think Henning (cave connoisseur) said it was a new link.

I believe the link would basically be the same as adding on the last extension of Rolito Sharama Extension Extension (~8b+) after a good rest. My grade maths is a little rusty, but 9a/+ + good rest + 8b+ ~= 9a+?

Looks like Nelly Hooker Tyre-valve has done the hardest circuit in font in a day, with one fall.

Effort.

Nice. Now if he can do that red circuit at Sabots that'll be amazing.

I was going to say that looking at that gradewise it doesn't look, Duel aside, to be harder than the cuvier whites: https://bleau.info/cuvier/circuit8.html However, having seen the sheer number of problems, and it finishes with an 8a, I'd say yeah it does look harder.

I hope he did them in order and isn't trying to claim some modified version of the circuit

I hope he did it with a struggling mate and patiently waited for them to have loads of goes after he flashed each one.

I hope the time he fell off Duel some local came and did it in his loafers to show him the beta

This is ace!  I always had this as a lifetime ambition (not in a day though!)

Anyone on here done Trois Hommes et un Coup Fin? Always thought it looked amazing but never been with enough pads/spotters to have a go.

Also anyone done La Teigne? Pretty sure when I looked (probably about 10 years ago) the undercut had broken, but maybe didn't make too much difference?)

Really psyched to go back to some of these now!  :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I think the undercut on La Teigne broke around the same kind of time as when the guy went mental and chipped a load of stuff - early 2000s?

Never been on Trois Hommes et un Coup Fin - didn't a photo of this used to feature in a Stone Monkey advert back in the last 90s?

He didn't use the undercut on la teigne, he used a shallow looking pocket up left, looked sketchy as a Bowden topout.

8a ish now supposedly, the 7b grade came from a guess rather than a repeat ascent post hold break ( according to a reliable grade source)

Not really a repeat, but somebody has found a couple of new holds to use in Parisella's.

Hang on, so Lou Ferrino into Trigger Cut has been done (Directors?) but not Rock Atrocity into Trigger Cut (this new thing)?

Ah, cheers. I did wonder as had had a very brief play BITD and 7B seemed harsh!

And Louis Armstrong into trigger cut courtesy of Megos. Also very surprised this link hasn't already been done.

All the strong regulars must be kicking themselves.

Anyone happen to know how many low starts can be done into Rock Atrocity?

Every time I hear of a new link up in the Cave, I think, Desory was a flipping monster, pretty much doing in Hell into Clyde, 10 years ago???. (Then I think, what the fuck happened to Mickey).

Good effort to do that link, End of Rockatrcity into halfway house (getting set up right) must be hard.

DC came close on RA into TC years ago. As Dan said the linking part of RA into TC is supposed to be hard.

Great effort from Jack!

Still, so many hard links still to do in the cave it's almost endless.

A great straight-ish up one would be Hatchatrocity into Bonnie or In Hell into TC or Bonnie would be mega. Cave needs an 8C!
