Cool, that thing looks mega. From twitter I got the impression it's just Wiz that freed it, may be wrong though?

That is a remarkable achievment and quite a list. It's certainly not an unambitious choice of routes with some long and multipitch ones thrown in. For instance, with an ab rope stashed on Gimmer it would have been possible to do Intern and the String but also tick off Equus, Eastern Hammer, Whit's End Direct, Springbank in a very short space of time, all of which would have been clean as a whistle and chalked. But no, on to the other crags!

Great stuff, Caff. Lovely to see the Lakeland climbing community turn out to support you!

So if you made those routes into one big wall, roughly how tall would it be?

Now we need the approach distances AND elevation gains and we can calculate that he is a fucking legend  :)

I think this along with (slightly off topic) Steve Birkenshaw's All t'Wainwrights fell running achievements the week before puts the Lakes at place to be for endurance events seemingly.

Props to James, puts the Stanage 100's look like a stroll in the park.

Can't imagine many people queueing up to do either "events".

One summer still gets 8b, such a good line. Pura vida still gets 8b I think, if not it should. A harder move on it than one summer but that makes up for it with quite a few added moves. I don't think shauna would have a problem with pura vida either  :strongbench:

Good effort, doesn't look like there were many people around. Shame there's no GoPro footage of him soloing the Yellow Tower as this is technically way harder than most of the route  - it's about VS 5a and there's a very, very big drop below you. But. 'Free solo' on a mountain with a fixed rope from bottom to top? If it all got a bit sketchy descending from high up you could just clip in - big psychological advantage. Still, bet he had a brilliant time.

And why is there a fixed line from bottom to top?  :worms:

And yeah, you're not allowed to write that he did it in one day/3 goes. People will flip out...
