First one shows the madness, the second one the relief. Cracking.

How is this not E9 + ??

Fucking hell,  shat meself doing braille trail way way back.. ( being a dwarf  I did it Johnnys way) tried to top rope this direct  about 22 yrs ago . Epic fail..  I gather the good ( relatively ) hand placed left peg is way off route..

Whats the consensus??  are we undergradiing the amazing efforts of the new generation??

Like back in the day we ( with best intentions ) under graded our UK sport routes??

No diss to this amazing climbing... Open question..

E9+++

There have been a few mighty hard sandbags put up and repeated this season so far  ;)

Nice one Nige.  Harrowing looking rope/leg arrangement in those pictures.

Thanks everyone! And thanks to PWiddy for doing all these amazing new routes, what would the Peak do without him...

I'm hearing Nige has done p-widdy's contortionist direct to braille trail. Anyone confirm?

Effort Nige! Can't help but feel a little unsettled about you doing necky stuff with your track record of twatting yourself though!  :smart:

I see you are still fearless then!! Great effort, well impressed - but not as impressive as when you fell off Adrenaline Rush and ended upside down 6 inches from the floor!!  :2thumbsup:

Katy Whittaker has done China Crisis 8b+ at Oliana. 4 British gals have now climbed 8b+, who's gonna be first for 8c?

Fourth ascent, trade route  ;) Looks superb.

Fabian Buhl did the third ascent a couple of days ago (8a.nu)

Frau Zangerl at least has a track record of bold alpine rock routes, whereas Fabian Buhl

Very impressive stuff. I'm surprised with Fabian getting on gear since like Paul B and Shaggy (aka terrace ghost aka king of the wave) he gets injured opening the front door. Good to see Barbera moving on from bouldering without apparently skipping a beat

Ah Dan is the third Cumbrian to do it now (4th overall after CWP) so I guess it's not big news ;)
