Fucking hell,  shat meself doing braille trail way way back.. ( being a dwarf  I did it Johnnys way) tried to top rope this direct  about 22 yrs ago . Epic fail..  I gather the good ( relatively ) hand placed left peg is way off route..

Whats the consensus??  are we undergradiing the amazing efforts of the new generation??

Like back in the day we ( with best intentions ) under graded our UK sport routes??

No diss to this amazing climbing... Open question..

Fabian Buhl did the third ascent a couple of days ago (8a.nu)

Frau Zangerl at least has a track record of bold alpine rock routes, whereas Fabian Buhl

had never climbed with gear ... my first 8b+ route

Very impressive stuff. I'm surprised with Fabian getting on gear since like Paul B and Shaggy (aka terrace ghost aka king of the wave) he gets injured opening the front door. Good to see Barbera moving on from bouldering without apparently skipping a beat
