I predict a downgrade, they'll want to put sport climber Ondra in his place...  :ras:

I think I agree, I can't imagine Nalle giving anything 8C+.  Do we know how long it took him?  Read about him getting close recently but don't know if he's been on it before now?

Nalle was on it briefly last year. I don't think they accept the existence of 8C+ in Finland….

Core didn't give it 8C+, he suggested 8C. Surely needs a few ascents (like anything) for a consensus?

The whole world seems to have accepted it as 8c+ since Ondra did it (including Core).

had a think about this and realised that I have absolutely no comprehension of how hard 8C or 8C+ is

presumably 8A isn't that hard anymore and 7C is approaching a rest?

should I start posting my opinions on this on UKC?

That's about the size of it! Why don't you ask how to get to 8C+ in 18 months

As there was no comment yet on UKC, I did one silly one. Don't know about it, but maybe it might ignite something about a wonderfull boulder problem that gets repeated. The same for the easier Gaskins problems that somehow got repeated but didn't seem so easy. Interesting for a simple punter like me.

Not much to reasonable rational people. But at least I would have expected you to understand something about it Dense

And stop posting anything about Gaskins as it seems Jasper has a webspider running on this, so he can counter anything even mentioning that the guy even exists.  :o

Seems I need to work on my sarcasm then, but I was being serious (I'd already picked up that English wasn't mindfull's first language from previous posts).

OK, then a little bit more serious. From time to time, like some other people here, what I tell here is a huge load of bollocks. And indeed slacks I'm not a native speaker, I talk mostly in IT language BTW (profession). I like the humor most of the UKB people are directing in their posts, and try to respond with my Belgian humor which is quite personal. E.g. the pun my last post had with the relationship Jasper/Gaskins. For us people, it's just funny. Rationally I can understand Jaspers thinkings but also emotions around this. At the same time, if this would be someone I knew, I would be f%%%ing proud this guy did some problems which might be font 10A and would be just admiring people. Just like to see some controversy without being Si who did do some 8B/6C problems while I just did some 6B/C 7a puntering  :tease:

53 year old fuzzy haired Irish ex-pat and all round nice guy Keefe Murphy redpointed El club de la lucha 8b+ and onsighted La putita de Millau 8a yesterday at Wild Side in Sella.
