If I was him I'd be getting the beers in and putting my feet up for a while...but that's probably one of the (many) reasons why he has climbed F9a and I haven't!  ;D

You just need to get on one Mr P. Caffs only 5 stone lighter than you  ;D

He was behaving like a true 9a beast yesterday, Melanchollie first RP (he tried it previous years) and a warm down on Statement putting the clips in.

He hasn't tried it, said he's gonna get on it next year. Pete Robins has been on them both though

Very inspiring stuff Caff, well done sticking with.

The tops much easier than the mooted font 7c+ though apparently

V6 with the secret thumb beta according to Caff! Chinny Reckon!!

It was Ben Moon who called it 7c+ after a brief go but if you look at the pics he's doing it completely different to Caff going up off the pocket with his left instead of his right.  I bet Neil Carson cracked the easiest sequence as he spent 2 years on it.  Caff said font 7a+ at one point but i think that can be taken with a big pinch of salt!
Quote from Ste Mac Climb article May 07, "Big bang- F8b/8b+ crimping to a poor rest then a hideous crux; matchstick wafers rocking over on to slab."
That top section must be tougher than v7!!!!! Caff loves the matchstick wafers no....

In Caff's world there are only good crimps, and better crimps.

Perhaps someone should rig Caff up with a headcam and mike and he could talk us through a redpoint of Big Bang, a la Steve Peat - http://www.mtbworldcup.com/dhi/course_ride/1017157
