…low key welsh wad …

Can one be “low key” and have an Instagram account on which you publish (even in a limited way) your doings?

(Yes, I’m old.)

I can’t actually find his instagram so he must be fairly low key.

I’d also argue low key is at least a tier above in self promotion than dark horse like you Tony!!

I can't find his Instagram either.

Just goes to show, you can be a dark horse and a consummate Insta stalker all at once

I confess to making an inaccurate assumption based on the following:

I’m so old, I didn’t even click the link to check. Oops.

Tbh I’m fairly surprised he did it on Tuesday… it absolutely chucked it down from 7pm Friday to early in the  morning on Monday. Guess the IF doesn’t take any seepage from above?

And Billy Ridal has continued his good run of form in Rocklands with a flash of Guest List 8B.

Scratch that, only second go. What a punter  ::)

I don't think having an Instagram account means you aren't low key  ;D

The two most reserved climbers I know have asked me not to tell other climbers what routes they have done. Admittedly, that is borderline pathological

They're just taking the UKB "who is the darkest horse" competition seriously.

What sort of level are these people climbing at??

I can totally get not wanting to shout about things, but actively trying to stop people finding out is weird…

Both pretty much at the top level in their countries, for their age. I have heard gossip about another climber who is pretty close to the top level in the world who has mostly but not completely managed to shut belayers up.

If you want your belayers to shut up about ascents that no one would find mildly newsworthy/interesting anyways, then that is called having delusion of grandeur.... ;)

Please don't say anything more, this gossip is enough about my achievements already.

I'll sort him out, he's going to be humiliated at his poor logging skills. Not even doing 5 8B-8B+'s in 4 days will make him feel any better.

Exactly, I hope he is suitably repentant  :spank:

Tom Pearce has climbed Mark Edwards' E10 at chair ladder The Human Skewer direct. Second ascent I think?

Century crack was repeated by Yuya Kitahira, I'm not sure when. There's a video of the ascent on his youtube channel as well as a series of videos of his training

It’s a film about him training for and attempting Century Crack. He didn’t succeed on it.

Nice find on the vid. He also nipped in for a quick second ascent of James Taylor's route Olwen E9 on Rhoscolyn.
