I assume Alex will go back and repeat that when the lime has been called to make the ascent valid ?

The lime has no beginning and no end as it's always lime time.

Forgot to mention it's his first of the grade.

Caroline Sinno made the FFA of C'etait Demain last week. No big deal grade wise, but historically significant as in 1984 was the first 8A in font (and the world?)

Incredible that this hasn't had a female ascent before now, given the location / history / style.

Jim Holloway did the 'Big 3' of Trice, Slapshot and Meathook, touted as being in the V12/13 range in this article in around 75-77 I understand. Impressive black and white shot of him on Trice in PA's!!

Filip Babicz has repeated Greg Boswell's recently established Bring Da Ruckus XII 13 in Scotland for his first winter route!

From the ig post, it sounds like he tried it ground up before inspecting it on an and headpointing placing all the gear.

Finally putting to rest the idea that bouldering on esoteric limestone choss isn't good training for the real thing.

Just realised this should read "his first route in Scotland", not his first winter route.

Is Brits doing 9a worthy of this  thread still? I reckon if it's one of ours then yes:

I reckon we can make an exception for Barrows, definitely  :clap2:

I went for a rainy day look at the Santa Linya cave and it is well impressive, proper "fall over backwards" territory trying to look up at it!

Honestly the mind control you need to not shake yourself off the wall out of excitement knowing you’ve done the climb must be insane. I get shakey just getting up my 3 meter project and fall off haha

According to James Pearson’s Instagram SteveMc has repeated Le Voyage, the video clips are pretty hair-raising  :o

I think you may be confusing Le Voyage with James' new one Bon Voyage? James did Le Voyage in 2017 and it's had a fair few repeats now (7 by my count https://climbing-history.org/climb/840/le-voyage). Im sure Le Voyage ain't easy but it strikes me as Steve's kinda bag, so very cool but not as noteworthy as a repeat of Bon Voyage.

It sounds like Steve has had a look at Bon Voyage but doesn't sound like he's done it https://www.instagram.com/p/CqJgMw_DoqR/
