Pretty sure he just posted 'Chris says hi' from Ceuse. There was no story other than we're still laughing at it fifteen years later.

Did Chris ACTUALLY say Hi to UKBers from Ceuse? Because that's kinda cool if so.

No Chris said "hello”. And only to Doylo, not to anyone else of you loosers.

Heard of another significant repeat yesterday too  :worms:

I see from 8a.nu Aidan did an 8c first try after one toprope practice.

This seems like news.

Pretty sure he's referring to this from last week, was posted on the aidanwad thread. Doubt that's what Orrin was meaning though.

"In terms of a grade, I personally felt that Honey Badger (8C+) was more of a challenge for me and proposing a grade for that at the time was daunting as it was my first 8C+." (from UKC)

Will or Aidan really need to pull their finger out and bag the FA of the RH finish now.

I reckon they both think 8C+ and just don't want to say

It does seem a bit like the 48-hour delay between knocking it off and the announcement was to coordinate a media blitz with news outlets, his PR agency, and sponsors, all coming together at exactly 2pm today in a flurry of green ticks and fire emojis. Is that more or less cool than spraying/logging direct from the crag?

He should just post all of his achievements on an obscure bouldering forum, inhabited by about ten guys arguing incessantly about grades, and then refuse to elaborate

How things change from when Haston was on here moaning about British standards... https://ukbouldering.com/board/index.php/topic,10358.msg171473.html#msg171473

Now a new 9A 8C+ hard thing gets put up and the first repeats are from two Brits!

Can we find out what respective cars Will and Aiden drive? Also how many Armani suits they each own and how fit each of their girlfriends/boyfriends are. Then we can directly assess the value difference between the two different styles.

I feel so cynical sometimes but it's this kind of thing that triggers it! The whole approach lacks sincerity and authenticity in my opinion, and I really don't understand what purpose it serves, other than to actually undermine how much Will is clearly driven by a pure love of climbing.

Anyway, flipping awesome to see both Aidan and Will on such incredible form.

I'm interested to see how the American climbing media deal with this too, given that they seem to essentially ignore Soudain Seul now whenever 9A is mentioned, following the first sniff off a downgrade, even though the consensus (2/3 opinions) is still 9A.
