Has the direct been climbed before? I don’t remember hearing about it before but I don’t remember an awful lot these days.

No the direct is still a project. Apparently, on the direct you do an 8c+ instead of an 8a before the hard bit. Seb Bouin has tried the direct a bit but has not done it, only the original version.

From what some bloke told me at the crag, Mr Bouin found Jumbo Love pretty solid for 9b. (It is Chinese whispers all the way down)

Barrows is on good form out in Spain. He onsighted an 8b+ called Queimada at Villanueva del Rosario a week or so ago and flashed an 8b called Babylon Sistem a few days later. First try wad!

Not sure if this should go here, but seems significant to me, Jack Pal has managed to tick new 100 8th grade boulders (as in ones he had not done before) in the UK within 2022 the other day. Not bad given he'd done 200ish already at the start of the year

This is massive, congrats Jack! Especially having come so close last year. Incredible achievement!

So that's 100 eights in 10 months as well then! It's particularly ridiculous considering he's done so many previously, therefore giving himself way less to go at.

The real question is: will Alphane become the Keen Roof of 9A?

Was it an 8C...?

A certain wad has built up a very impressive ticklist. They will come out with it once they climb 8C so I shouldnt say anything else. Why'd ya spill yer beans?

Is this where someone should say "Chris says hi"?

Perhaps I'm not an OG enough member, but I don't even know the origin of that phrase, anyone care to explain?

I don't know the exact post, but someone was chatting about being at Ceuse with Chris [Sharma].

Adam Lincoln I think - of that's what I always understood.

I can confirm that I have done Burden of Dreams and added an ultra low lying start which I tastefully excavated with a local Finnish made trowel

So is anyone going to say what this significant repeat is, or is it going to be the ukb equivalent of a "you'll never believe what route got repeated yesterday..." clickbait

Nobody here knows. Except apparently Orrin. But given Bosi has been having decent goes on Alphane in the last few days, it's likely to be that. Keep an eye on Instagram if that's your thing.

Murder of Breams. Name is free to a good home on a problem somewhere preferably on a riverbank popular with fishermen.

"Chris says Hi" is a piss take of Adam Lincoln who would frequently post stories which revolved around "I was at the crag with -insert famous climber's first name here- and he told me..."
