It's ace how jungle / dnb has been around for what, 25 years nearly? And people can still come up with sounds and sub-styles that sound fresh and creative whilst still being true to the energy and depth and lack of compromise that makes the music special.

Other things are never as good as the first time but with drum and bass a new banger is as good as it was twenty five year ago when I first realized the genre existed. It pissed on most of what I listened to at 15 - sixties, happy hardcore - and still does.

Thanks again. Lack the time to be as informed as I was then so this is brilliant.

The resurgence of modern jungle has been great recently. Jem One and Homemade Weapons also favs of mine.

Motown, I agree entirely, DnB is STILL sounding exciting after all these years, so much good production and so many good varied styles. I listened to a little bit of happy hardcore in my late teens but always preferred gabber and then DnB a lot more.
