Future beats series is amazing. Doc Scott's been on it since 1947 or something but he always appears to be looking way out into the future! 31 records is such a decent label too.

Slackers this is about dnb though not pop dance music....in a pop/commercial dance thread then yeah such denigration would be inappropriate.

So stick with bigging up dnb you think others would like rather than slagging off sub-sub-sub-sub-genres of it that you don't like.  The title is after all "F-ing amazing drum'n'bass" and not "Don't bother listening to this stuff I think is shite, listen to this instead"

Exactly, the thread title has "F-ing amazing" in it. If only there was a filter to filter out crap dnb from this thread...

Hmmm. Statto geek vs McDonalds fan. If only I could find something that both of them would find irresistible, I could distract them from their feuding.....

Just getting rid of a load of my old CD's and came across "The Prototype years" mix thing by Grooverider.

Essential as far as I'm concerned.

Not really the whistle, horn, lighter stuff, but the thinking persons drum and bass. Whatever the f*ck that means.

You should check it out.

Yeah good stuff, I was on the verge of chucking that out a while ago but although there's a few lame tracks there's some real classics - Mute, Still Remix.....and SECRETS which IS f-ing amazing:

Bassline at 4:45 is warped as fuck  :alien:

Check this Mickey Finn set.

I used to love the guy, saw him at an all nighter in Chesterfield back in about 1992/3 or 4. Cant remember the details, but he blew the place to bits.

Any ideas what the club could have been called? They ran lots of nights around early 90's. Bit rugged and ruff, but they all were back then.

Could have been Mansfield. I remember driving there, and a little of the night. But not the finer details.

Fucking hell.

Cheers slackers.

Hopefully they will be featuring as much Andy C, Ant Miles, Moving Fusion, Ram Trilogy, Shimon and Origin Unknown as well as Chase and fcking Status.

Not bad really, covered the label well apart from the shocking lack of Titan. Also wasn't Fresh's Signal on RAM?

Despite Chase and Status and Subfocus and Fresh popping out, there is hope, Rene La Vice is keeping it real for sure...

Not listening, I'll grab a torrent of it tomorrow to listen back to.

At least with all these acts you don't like it keeps the clubs clear of those who would otherwise ruin your evenings foot-tapping.
