Digi compact recommandations
November 09, 2008, 06:58:49 pm
I'm gonna ask Santa for a camera for chrimbo. As I've never had one before, therefore a bit of a camera numpty, I'm looking for any tips or thoughts.

The two that have caught my eye are these,

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-Cyber-shot-W170-Digital-Camera/We don't mention that forum on this site/B0013IQKES/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1226256011&sr=1-1

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-DMCTZ5-Digital-Camera-Optical/We don't mention that forum on this site/B0016CNOHM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1226256783&sr=1-1

I'm sure either of them will fulful my needs, but please add any comments or recommendations for around £150.

A cryptic title, but some good info here;

We have one of the older versions of the Panasonic, and I really like it.

Any idea what happened to the links, i.e. where has the We don't mention that forum on this site come from?

I would guess that there is a filter for www.amazon.co.uk in place.

We recently got a Canon IXUS80is which seems pretty good to me.
I've seen them in catalogues for £225 but we got ours of ebay for £1+postage :jaw:

OK that was very lucky but shopping around should see you landing one for comfortably under a ton.

£95 on wedontmentionthatforumonthissite. I'm still very happy with mine.

That is lucky. Unless the postage was £199.99.
