Was there 3-6:30 today, I hate to say it, but it was a bit too warm to start with! A little too warm and teeny bit greasy under the hand (lime time? ;) ). Primo after 5 when the sun dipped. It's probably superb conditions for a bit of early evening lantern sessions...

Soaking wet in North Leeds, looking the same as you head further out too.

That said, forecast I checked last night did say brightening up later so might be worth a look in the afternoon.

Well Lordy me! It's actually not bad at da cliff ATM. Freshly washed, friction ok, not too bad when the clouds pop over. It does t get much better than this in august..

Looking good in Leeds at the moment, crisp, wispy cloud and dry.

Unless it buckets it down tonight / tomorrow morning you'll be fine, only thing I'd bear in mind is if it's a little windy where you are there's potential for it to be a howling, freezing cold gale when you get up there!

As some of us are returning to the shire flat lands over the weekend we'll be visiting the great nipple of the north.

This is less of a rain/snow update request, more of an update on the cow :shit: situation, hows the roof? annnnd has anyone done Little Greeny recently?

oh cliff,  how I have missed ye. :bounce:

Was great on sat/sun. Fairly dry underfoot (for da cliff) and rating about 2.43 (out of 9) on the HubyDungometer (tm).

But... Since then it's pissed it down, and I didn't go there today, but the weather from the 62 from 'ull past leeds was Clagged up... I was going to go today on my way accross but sacked it off mid journey...

However, it's the cliff.. So if there's any sort of wind it'll be dry in an hour or two. No green, apart from the grass..

Though you have referred to it as the 'great nipple of the north' so next time you go......

Yeah, lucky places to have the relatives! though I suspect the forecast will be grey and damp! MrsTT is driving, so I have to begin bouldering mat room/space negotiations for her car soon... I may try and get her pissed first ;)

Ah, one silver cloud, looks like Bloc-city (groan) will be opening sometime around Xmas (bouldering extension to you know where...) may be worth checking out....

Rained a lot yesterday but looking pretty nice today, maybe a few dry problems up at Demon Wall area?

Thanks.

All pretty much dry here. If anyone can post an overnight weather update I'd be very thankful.

Any update on Almscliff conditions please? Thinking of going tomorrow as The Peak appears to be mostly covered in ice.

Thanks

Not rained today in Leeds. Just cold with wet snow on the floor. Heading up myself tomorrow, conditions should be ok. Not been up since the snow fell though.

Not a conditions report but more of a note that there was quite alot of litter about at the Cliff yesterday... none of it is climber related - just the usual beer cans and sweet wrappers left by the chavs/doggers/smokers who inhabit the place after dark... I picked up a couple of cans as I wandered around to tidy things up a bit - and it might be a good idea if a few other folk did similar to keep the good natured farmer/owner good natured :)

TT

Surprisingly great conditions today. Wind kept the suns warming at bay. Nai onsighted Wall of Horrors in a very impressive and tenacious manner, and Grubes ticked off Demon Wall. Superb effort both.

The air ambulance made an apperance and I hope whoever it took away is doing OK (think it may not have been a climber - and it was down by low man).

I can hardly claim an onsight having done the boulder problem so many times previously, I just made it look like the first time...
And for tenacious, read "time consuming"
(however when I did the start for the first time I did onsight it and it was pre pads so I had to drop off onto my square of carpet, so maybe I can take a flash  :worms: ?)
