Are these one of the best value ones to go for? Anyone know of any better places to buy from? For carrying 2 full suss bikes most of the time.

it looks to carry the bikes in the same postion as those towbar carriers.which seemed to be the carriers of choice with the dutch and belgiums who might know a thing or two about bikes.

What are you fitting it to?  For cars I think roof bars are the way forward for carrying bikes. They don't block the boot, are less likely to damage the car and apparently rear mounted bikes cause nearly as much drag as roof mounted bikes.

I have got a couple of things from http://www.skidrive.co.uk/ recently. Very fast free delivery (don't bother paying for the next day delivery as the free deliver is 1-2 days.) they were the cheapest for the Thule roof bar kit for my Honda.

I have just got some mid-range Decathlon cycle carriers that fit to the roof bars, as I needed 3 to use occasionally so got them in the sale for about £13 each. (The ones that are normally £20 each here http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/rooftop-bike-carriers-3957273/)
They are reasonable quality but as Skidrive do Thule ones from £30 I would go for one of those next time.

see link. VW T5. I'm tall, but getting bikes on the roof of that will be pushing it  even for me. Plus roofrack is where boards go.

With the bike rack on you can still open tailgate. apparently (might have to train powerlifting though).

I did but it only took me to the main shop page. Nice van. The rack looks similar to this Thule one

Difficult to know the quality of the Fiamma ones without seeing one, looks like they are pretty big on van racks. I doubt you be disappointed with the quality of the Thule.

If you do go for the Fiamma, heres a quirk on their website I spotted that may save you some cash, assuming the rack you want is code 02093-71 if you select it from the 'quickfinder'-'carry bike-minivan' drop down it comes up as £129 instead of £159. ;0)

Got a vito version on my bongo, very good. Stable and secure. Will carry downhill bikes no problem but you have to let some air out of the tyres if your running double ply 2.5 to fit into the bottom ski properly

yerp, only one that will fit a bongo, had to alter the spoiler to get it on. Been on for 18 months, driven to france/scotland with two bikes weighing 45lbs each at least on it. Some tarnishing of the alli but thjats what you expect if its permanently attached.
