If they don't sort out something with the students, etc. by then they've basically given everyone a free bank holiday to go and protest!  Should make for some interesting footage for the royal wedding...

To be able to deal with seeing what's left of your legs and then have the presence of mind to do something about, just incredible. I am in awe.

Anyone else catch the radio 4 8am news broadcast this morning? Cracking spoonerism and attempted recovery by James Naughtie. Very funny indeed!
Think this is it, but can’t open youtube at work so can be sure.

Heard about that on twitter, certainly a slip of the tongue in that YouTube clip

How could that be deemed a spoonerism though? I think he was clutching at straws there. A spoonerism is like "Betty Swallocks" or "Beeping Slag".

Only heard it the once, thought he said "Jeremy Cunt hulture secretary", or some combination to that effect.

that would be a spoonerism then, although its not how I read a web report of it (guardian?), probably just sloppy reporting.

Ah diddums!! Daily Fail journalist complains she can't afford to shop at Harrods anymore:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1335550/Merry-Christmas-Along-millions-middle-class-families-I-afford-one.html

So detached from reality, she can't see that she's been doing something wrong if the only thing that can make her kids happy is expensive presents.

FUCK OFF!

So how did this happen? Put simply, my partner and I started a new business four years ago, and we borrowed and borrowed and bought a country house alongside the two we owned between us in London.
We practically rebuilt it while I fussed over the kitchen, oohing and aahing over Farrow & Ball paint and butler sinks. We moved to the Cotswolds and I even bought another cottage as an ‘investment’.
When the recession hit, we realised the value of our properties had slumped and we were largely in negative equity. We had to rearrange our lives totally. These days, I am lucky if I earn £500 a week as a writer.

So you made some shit decisions and were greedy, blowing your money on expensive shit, and got your fingers very badly burned.

Only £500 a week, well cry me a fucking river. You could always get a proper job.

(and PS you look like a right hatchet faced bitch and those boots probably cost more tha everything I wear this week)

PPS I hate the fucking daily mail, twice this last week I have had middle aged women coming to me with scare mongering shit they have read in the DM. One was a report linking calpol to asthma and one was bathing children too much causing excema.

A story involving gross stupidity, dangerous criminal behaviour and The Broadfield

(OK, so it was a pub in Broadfield, not The Broadfield)

Why is Outdoor Gear so Ugly?

While some of these shoes are genuinely great products, others are simply ludicrous. American brand Merrell seems to excel in the latter. The Chameleon3 Axiom Sport (with Ortholite Anatomical Footbed) reaches new heights of ugliness and spurious technicality. If Robocop ate nothing but All-Bran and tyres, this is what his turds would look like.

Brilliant!

Haha he complains about a waterproof jacket costing £300 shortly after linking to a 'simple crew neck jumper' costing £280!
